I have six this week as well. I aced my Chem final, barely passed my Spanish, and had a staff party for JROTC instead of actual work.

 

got a 199 composite on my PSAT.
95 percentile

Personality helps as well. I won't give you bullshit about there's someone for everyone, but everyone is attracted to more than one person, for one or more reasons. This probably isn't the best example, but online relationships thrive in some places because people are able to attract/woo others solely through their personalities. Although it is harder to find in real life, some people are only looking for men/women/others with good personalities. There are some people who we would say aren't particularly attractive, but that is your opinion, or anyone else's, and will not be the same everyone else's. The truth is that someone could be wildly attracted to you, maybe not now, but in the future, and you do not believe you have a chance with them because you are self-conscious about your looks. Appearance isn't everything, it's simply an excuse to ignore what's on the inside.

His entire point was about his looks, so if your situation isn't about your looks, it is an entirely different discussion. Your problem is that you fear the unknown. You can't expect all possibilities so you expect the worst one that you can imagine to happen. Denial is a part of life, and much worse can happen. I don't believe you have received everything you have ever asked for. You were denied your request, not matter how badly you wanted it. What do you do if you are denied your request? I won't answer that as you have to think about it yourself. What would you do if you were denied by the girl you like? Would you be willing to bounce back? Or would you rather never talk to her and leave your relationship fictional?

That is just... not true...

 

Well, you are correct. That is not always the case, but at times it does happen. I have met very attractive people who others can not stand to be around because their personalities are unappealing, although, some people will ignore their personalities because of their appearance. So at times, yes, appearances can be used as an excuse to ignore how a person really is, but I did not mean for it to come across as that is the way it always is, because it certainly isn't.
