I'm personally glad it isn't.. Because games like Destiny that have MMO RPG elements to it, the consoles hit the back burner and end up being the lesser option. So I'm happy it's not...

My PC was $1100 and it runs every game except Arma 3 at 60 FPS on highest settings...

 

In what way would consoles become the lesser option?

 

Firstly, it you don't know what Destiny is, how are you so sure that people would buy a PC JUST for that single game?
Secondly, if people would be so willing to buy a high end PC JUST for that game, why don't you buy a console just for that game?
