So I just played dark souls for the first time today.

I got out of the tutorial-y prison level (or what passes for a tutorial in dark souls) and right next to my bonfire was some smug douche - I didn't even have to hear what he had to say before I knew he had to die. So I attacked him, only to get curbstomped by him, respawn and get curbstomped again about 10 more times. By that point I finally worked out how to parry the fuckers attacks and he finally got what he deserved.

I can't tell if I'm playing this game horribly wrong or horribly right
