I got a letter in school, and lot of letters, and they were from all my family saying that they are proud of me and they are happy because I am going to college... and I read them all... and I cried... and cried... and my mother came out of nowhere and she was crying too... and she hugged me and we both cried... and I am crying while I type this...

It's probably because they use nuts in ration packs or whatever comes standard. It's not really practical for the military to accomodate people who can't eat the standard stuff.

Back when I was involved in the AAFC, ration packs were banned because some cadet died when he ate one with peanut in it - and I don't know how that's possible because a) the staff knew of this allergy (so he should have never gotten a ration pack in the first place) and b) the thing he ate was labelled as 'Peanut Satay Chicken' in gigantic fucking letters (so obviously the kid didn't even look at what he was eating).

 

The string of incompetence grows ever longer.

 

I completely understand that, but I'm only allergic to Brazil and Hazel (seriously anyway) but the thing is, they change what's included in a ration pack for people who don't eat meat because of a certain religion or whatnot, but not for people who have an allergy? That's pretty fucking stupid, especially as I'm pretty sure that meat has more protein in that nuts.

That's not anything related to it. They make all of the food using the same machinery, and a bit of meat residue in a vegan's ration ISN'T going to have the possibility of killing them. They don't care what kind of nut you're gonna croak from, they just care that it is possible( which it totally is ).

Or at least that's what I got out of it.

 

I was playing Gmod with them and then I had to leave for a second, and my spacebar got messed up so I couldn't use it, and while they were waiting for me, they made a fake me in Gmod.
