Rules:
1) No hacking, cheating or modding of any kind
2) Keep obscene language to a minimum
3) Do not destroy or modify other peoples' building or terrain in any way
4) Do not kill other players who are not PVP flagged
5) Do not modify any terrain or blocks on the spawn town
6) Do not create traps near spawn or other peoples' buildings

Brand new server. I intend to grow this server over time as the game becomes more stable, as modding grows and as server administration tools become more powerful. If you've ever played Minecraft and know what Towny is, you'll find yourself at home once a land protection mod is created.
Eventually, this server will use such a mod to allow players to claim and keep land at the cost of pixels. The following are features I intend to incorporate as the game evolves:

▫Land protection at the cost of pixel upkeep

▫Full open world PVP, no toggles

▫Safe zones where PVP is disabled

▫Ability to explode blocks other players own with bombs/destroyed terrain will regenerate after X seconds

▫Rules regarding what you can and cannot do whilst raiding. Includes rules about stealing which will be permitted (PROTECT YOUR THINGS!)

▫Custom modded content will eventually be hosted here created by myself when the game has the ability to send custom content from a server to connecting players without any effort beyond the player attempting to connect

▫Player cap may expand to 30 in the future (beta optimization issues has a lot to do with the current number)

▫Custom nerf to certain overpowered techs to prevent players from flying around at highspeeds in an attempt to ground people more, expanding the value of exploration

▫Manually created and protected NPC towns with quests and loot (even custom modded loot)

▫Above ground and below ground dungeons and temples protected from editing that people can enter and encounter traps and puzzels. Dungeons will be filled with loot and regenerated weekly

Final disclaimer, please remember that any lag issues are solely due to the optimization issues and will eventually disappear. Server restarts clear these up.

It's prefered you make a new character for my server but not required.


Important: If you see someone breaking one of the rules, take a screenshot and send it to me on Steam - Silver_Forte. I cannot ban someone on word alone, I have to either be able to see it in the server logs or have visual proof. We're also using the Electric Home Defense and Colonies mods. Problems may occur if players who do not have this content downloaded try to join a planet where the content exists, so to deal with this, only one specific planet is allowed to have the custom content from these two mods. It is listed at the bottom. The links for these two mods are:

These mods give us more reason to have a homefront. NPCs can be assigned to tasks, farming is more exciting and we can even build electric powered objects that require energy which can be managed and stored.

Intentions: To find a dedicated server, that me and my friend "Nobst" can have a fun time on and experience Starbound to it's fullest potential. We have been looking for a server to play on for some time now and hope we can join this community and help it grow!
Exp: Minecraft since beta stage with Nobst, Terraria before the 2.0.0 update as well as still an active game in my library.

Intentions: Finding a server me and my friend can easily get on, and I see an opportunity here, especially with a newer community.
Exp: Played minecraft since it was in beta with GeneralCorbin, we've made an entire city on our own,just to name, and have not stopped playing it since. We're pretty friendly to most people, and while I have not played terraria, I'm beginning to really like Starbound and I could see it becoming one of my most favorite titles, more so if I can get involved with other players as well.

Intentions: to interact with other players because i have been playing on single player and i decided I should find a good server.
EXP: played a few days on single player i have reached the beta sector have a tier 2 spear and tomahawk and have full sparrow armor (will probably start new character but i know my way around the basics). Own and played both minecraft and terraria and love them both. In minecraft a spent a few weeks making a massive wall around a small town i built and in terraria i have a small village with about 5 NPCs (i have only played it a bit)

Intentions: Finding a mature server that isn't full of pricks and griefers. I might be a travelling musician.
Exp: Played several Starbound servers, they all sucked in some way or had nobody ever online. I've been playing since the day it came out. 106 hours on Steam. "Addicted"? What do you mean?

Intentions: Looking for a server that doesn't allow hacking/modding until mods can be hosted via the servers (sounds like what you're aiming for) Right now I spend most of my time in game building but I'm looking forward to PvP when we have more power to customzie servers/set rules.
Exp: I played a bit of minecraft mostly singleplayer. Never got into terraria. I've been playing starbound for the past two weeks though and love the game. I played a lot on the log horizon server but got a bit discouraged by there being a lot of spawning of items/duping so I'm looking for some new servers to start playing on.

Exp: Minecraft, around 100hrs of Starbound (1 character tier 3 before last wipe, currently 1 character with last tier armor and weapons), was pretty active at another server (made a website for it), casual Dota2 and HoN player, another number of MMO's like RYL, Mu Online, Tantra Online and the list goes on for a while.

Bear with me as I update the server and the new spawn world. The most recent game update has gone live and the server will be up to date later today. There will also be a server wipe. Everyone who has joined up to this point will be reimbursed with 200 coal, 100 iron and 20 cooked alien meat. These items are, of course, optional.
