Some items you can't scan in, I think it's mostly furniture than is scan-able but I remember reading somewhere that weapons would be scan-able but...
Iron bow was low level item for that boss, I'm guessing a level 5 item as it didn't have any level on it. Anyway, granted to kill it with a sword...
camp fire and a snow infantry suit. then just use a tech or road to go between asteroids, warming up by a fire each time you get cold.
I read that the quest was re-worded so as to encourage players to explore and get higher tier items before battling the boss but didn't check...
You can find Plutonium easily in asteroids, there's loads of the stuff. Counts for 8 fuel and you can easily get about a hundred ore in one...
I think a lot of people are ranting as they consider the game to be perfect straight away, not realising that it is still in development...
There are multiple fuel sources other than coal, such as plutonium and uranium and I don't think that your points about the weapons and UFO boss...

I'm really confused, some people are saying the new changes make the game much harder and some, easier. I haven't even had a chance to play yet... :(
I'll have to wait a while before I try this out. Hopefully it'll be fixed before then...
