I hope the update coming soon, because this is a super awesome mod. Tried to hack it to work with Furious Koala, but it's giving an error, saying something about dungeons =\

Whhhhaaaaaaaa Why wasnt this bit of awesomeness even thought of? Nice work and THANKS. EVeryones positive vibe comments are perfect. The universe needed ruins like this. shiny new everything didnt make sense. Espically for our rp server, since the lore talks about forgotten and lost worlds and civalizations (( like the ones who created the glitch, or the ones who gave the Avians a boost so they didnt die off)) Regardless. CAn we all pllllease send our good vibes about this mod to chucklefish. I mean right now. Change starts with yooouuuuuuuu

This mod is amazing. It brings the feeling of desert filmed 70's-80's sci-fi movies. Which is exactly what Starbound was missing. This mod is like Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone!

Can't wait until you add equipment and more sub-biomes to the Wasteland planets. Maybe having some planets that are still suffering from Nuclear Winter or Fallout, and having to wear special equipment to explore them like HazMat suits to protect your from radiation. That would be cool :3 Also maybe the monsters and animals can appear to be mutated, much like that weird Apex monster that looks horribly disfigured, that you can find caged, or on Apex Lab facilities.

I also hope that the Devs take a look at your Mod, not all planets can be colorful and clean. Some have to be gritty, eerie and have that Fallout atmosphere!!! By far my favorite planets to explore, and love setting outpost on them! Can't wait for more updates, Keep it up!

    I'm using offended beta v.
Don't trust this mod it has terrible support he's yet to reply on many other sites not just this one with a v1.1 fix cause the wasteland mod I have just keeps me stuck in FTL launch. Don't both with this guy he obviously doesn't know how to link his mod to an affiliate site he's just trying to get us to spend money and NEXUS is overcrowded and WILL NOT ACCEPT NEW REGISTRATIONS. He hasn't released one update yet to fix compatibility issues with other Biome mods or mods that modify suck as .config. I wanted to give him 5 stars for this mod but he falls way short considering the mod installers would also not work at installing this particular mod. It's unfinished and that is why he's not releasing it. The link I downloaded it from is gone. What a bunch of Bs this is. Instead lol he blames this site for them not uploading his download link. again bs - I even offered him a solution he didn't take it. Probably got his friends to all give him 5 stars don't waste your time on this I installed every other biome mod with no problem at all. This is obviously a WIP being passed off like it's in it's alpha stage!

EDIT: You're saying you're using Offended Koala? That's not the newest version. The mod requires the most recent update (Angry Koala), which is specified in the .modinfo file.

      1) I'd need to see a log output to know what's happening with your issue, since nobody else has reported it, but judging by your other comments you're also running other mods that affect the same files. Which brings me to point...
      2) There is no way to automatically merge the necessary biome info in celestial.config right now or provide automatic compatibility with other biome mods. This has been confirmed in the mod forums as of the most recent patch, but the next Starbound update is set to include the .pak format which should help all of that (which will be when I next update this)
      3) None of the download links are gone; the Nexus link is still there, and currently THIS site has a viable direct download link that I've continued to test and it works fine (without all the spam and crap that comes with Mediafire, which is why I didn't use it).

According to all accounts but yours, the mod works fine if installed according to directions. If you're manually merging it with other mods or tampering with the files then it's out of my hands; if you're NOT doing that stuff, please provide details of your error from the log or some other such productive feedback, in a respectful manner so I can improve the mod; without that, I can't really do anything to help you.

The level of detail in this mod is excellent. From the ruins to the ambient sound to the unique weather, wasteland planets feel simultaneously totally new and eerily familiar.

Life in Starbound can't always be well established settlements and clean well-lit facilities, this mod proves that point nicely. If one could take something from this, it'll make for some interesting decorating if you want to create a defiled lab or crash site; plus there is variety to be had when you're hopping around the galaxy. This is a neat element that does add a sense of gloom and despair, and that's pretty darn cool.

Exactly what I was looking for! Everything looks and works great. The only thing that made this mod even better was that the first wasteland planet I explored had a USCM base as its dungeon. It gave it a very Fallout Vault-ish feel.
Thanks again for the hard work! Favorite mod so far.

Stellar biome mod. Not only does it boast excellent visuals, good use of sub-biomes and terrain features, but also manages to capture the post-apoclyptic wasteland feel with loving attention to ambience and soundtrack.

Thanks for the review! I'm unfamiliar with New Horizon (all the new sprites for this were drawn solely by me) but I'll have to check it out. Cheers.
