I haven't gone through all of it but it looks to be very helpful, I've started to learn how to make a simple mod however I go to the unpacking/packing video and it says it's unavailable. Is there another video that shows this?

I love this book, it has some potential, but for now there is simply not enough information. For example, how do I make a weapon? Or how to make techs or effects? -such questions are not answered at all. I do understand that this depends on pratice, but I simply don`t know what to do.
I gave 5 stars because the idea and design is friendly and nice. Just add stuff so this book becomes useful for most of situations and needs ;)-
Author's ResponseCurrently waiting for next version of Starbound to release before I plan on updating it. As it may change a lot fundamentals which would make it a pain to write it again.

This is an awesome resource. It taught me almost everything I know about modding. Here's my first mod and only mod (so far) if you want to see it.

Having a quick skim through, seems like a great resource to help modders new and old. My only gripe with it is that you said JSON stands for Javacript Oriented Notation, when it actually stands for JavaScript Object Notation. That minor error aside, it looks exceptionally well-written, great work.

Great for new modders and even if I don't do modding, I will go to this modding handbook if I ever had the feeling to mod in starbound.

Pretty basic, and pretty good. Shows you the basics of Starbound Modding. It's well indexed, so it's really handy to vanish any little doubt.
Good guide to new modders, and a good consult resource for not so new modders ;) -

This is truly a gift to the community and is well written and informative. A excellent starting point for those interested in modding. Or people that need a refresher.

This guide is great, I heavily recommend it.
I found the section on coloring armor, along with the crafting stations, very helpful.
And I would like to request that at some point a section on weapons be added, for things such as projectiles and animations.
Other than that it's an extremely helpful guide to learn from and review when I can't figure something out. Thank you. -
DrPvtSkittlesVersion: SB v1.05 [ Ebook v2.1 ]- 5/5,
I love this. Well written, flows nicely and just explains everything you would need to know for modding in Starbound.
I will definitely be referring to this as I broaden my modding skills. -

PhoonixVersion: SB v.1.0 - [ EB 2.0 ]- 5/5,
It helps a lot and everything!
I learned a bit of stuff, though I want to make a mod that adds some armor sets, weapons and stuff like that and the guide doesn't explain that as I know.-
Author's ResponseYa - My next tutorial will be focusing on hats when I get some time. But making armor is almost like making an object. The only difference is the frames.

Thank you so much for this. I will definitely get into modding that I have this guide! Do you have any idea on how I should start a ship mod?
-
Author's ResponseBest way to learn ship modding is download a basic ship mod made for 1.0. Unpack it and see how its made.

I'm not new to modding; In fact, I'm quite fluent. However, this book I can vouch for. It's clear, concise, and accurate. A definite must-have for reference in my opinion.

kyleetehkittyVersion: [SG]1.2a- 5/5,
I have only been playing around with mods for the past week or so, and found this guide today. This really helped answer a lot of questions that were either to vague when answered in the modding forum, or I had pondered myself while diving into the depths of the games file structures.
Really grateful on the chunk about patches.
Thanks for all the work put into this!
