I've tried to keep balance somewhat in mind based on racial lore while adding abilities to the game that feel like something you'd see naturally. For instance, the gliding ability is essentially just like having a parasol, a great perk to have that also doesn't just trivialize the core game. This means each race won't be directly comparable due to the inherent nature of 'unique' abilities. You can read some background and ideas on the mod in the discussion thread. I'm open to suggestions and feedback concerning all aspects of this mod, so if you'd like to participate then join in there.
Installation Instructions
Place the downloaded 'Racial_Perks.pak' file in Starbound's 'mods' folder.
Code:Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\mods
Uninstallation
Uninstalling the mod is as easy as deleting the 'Racial_Perks.pak' file from Starbound's 'mods' folder.
Note: Removing the mod should not affect any characters, it should only remove their perks (which are essentially just permanent status effects). However, if you encounter any problems then please let me know immediately in the discussion thread.
Steam
A Steam version will be uploaded once the vanilla races are finished.
