Outdated Multispecies: Mistfen Race 1.1

Update in progress! One down, three to go.

  1. New crafting stations, flamethrowers, balance changes, and more

    Big update. I wanted to stuff in even more, specifically new Snowstrife crafting stations, but I've been holding off on this update for too long.

    I have switched over to the .modpak format. Please delete previous versions of this mod before installing this update!

    New Stations

    The Brick Blending Station has been added, which will be a useful tool for builders. Here, you can take natural materials, such as cobblestone, clay, and wood, and metal bars to make many types of blocks. This means less destroying villages and dungeons just to build your own home.
    This can only be crafted normally by the Flamenco race, but, as always, any other race can still use it. You can craft it for 10 steel bars at a crafting table or print it for 1000 pixels. It also appears in newly generated Flamenco villages.

    Added Fossil Shape Station for the Nayla race. It uses 10 glass and 20 titanium panels to make, and 1000 pixels to print. All dinosaur techs are crafted here, which now use fossils (and dye for colored techs) instead of pixels. All races can now craft these techs as long as they have access this station. Currently, it doesn't generate naturally, but will appear in Nayla structures in the future.

    Additionally, many new colors options have been added for these techs. These use dyes in their crafting recipes. The standard pink uses no dye.

    Fossils

    Fossils have been added to world generation. They are useful for making Nayla techs and are also planned to be used for something Snowstrife related. They can be found on NEW worlds, usually underground. Some planets are better for finding fossils than others, so explore!

    Flamethrowers

    A series of Mistfen flamethrowers, called "Heatwaves", have been added. These have been designed for destruction, especially for flammable materials such as wood and ice. They can also burn down trees. These are titanium/durasteel tiered and craftable at the deconstruction table.
    • Basic Heatwave: Burns trees, plants, and plant/ice materials.
    • Advanced Heatwave: Upgraded version of the basic heatwave.
    • Elite Heatwave: Upgraded version of the advanced heatwave.
    • Corrosive Heatwave: Has piercing flames and can destroy even more than wood and ice.
    • Pulse Heatwave: Has further range and sprays stronger flames but at a slower fire rate.

    New tier of tools

    Added a new tier of tools above diamond. For now, these recipes use diamond, but in the future it will use a new ore. They have no pixel cost, since it already costs you enough to even upgrade to diamond tools.
    • Azure Pickaxe
    • Azure Drill (To learn the recipe, simply drop your diamond drill and pick it up again.)
    • Azure Wrecking Ball
    Fossil Biome
    A few new detached biomes have been added, which are good for finding fossils.

    Mod Compatibility

    Other Changes
    • Borrowed hazard block from nightly builds.
    • Added racial category filters to construction table interface. Also used for brick blending station.
    • Additions to racial shiplockers:
      • Flamenco: Brick blending station
      • Nayla: Fossil shape station
      • Mistfen: Deconstruction table
    • Revised some object examination descriptions.
    • Removed money cost from construction and deconstruction tables.
    • Reduced builder merchant's price of instant houses.
    • Nayla techs are now craftable at the fossil shape station. They now cost fossils instead of pixels.
    • Reduced material cost of wrecking balls.
    • Rebalanced wrecking balls. Generally increased their power. Later tiered wrecking balls have been slowed down while keeping their DPS and strengthening their mining power.
    • Slightly reduced energy cost of non-native Nayla tech usage.
    • Removed Raptor's increased energy usage when running as a non-Nayla.
    • Snowstrife Endurance armor set now provides a bit of health regeneration.
    • Changed defaultdamage.config to give tiles fire very little effectiveness as opposed to none to solve an annoying vanilla bug where fire causes blocks to become noninteractive. Fire damage can now burn away grass and tilled ground. I apologize to anyone who have set up their farm on a planet with frequent ember storms. You may want build a protective barrier over it.
    • Snow and desert versions of the energy detached biome now appear on their respective planetary biome types.


    Fixes
    • Corrected particle color, painted variations, and other minor changes to custom tiles.
    • Renamed some materials.
    • Fixed a broken structure in Flamenco villages (an underground storage). It should appear now.
    • Fixed a bug that caused Dino Egg tech to sometimes not work.
