Defiantly worth getting! I love the look and lore of this race!

I just love insects, lizard & plantraces in most games.
This race is especially neat. The sprites are well made and the detail in their animation is adorable. I'd love to see custom armors & weapons (made from carapace & chitin maybe?), but it seems the author is already working on this. Im looking forward to the future of this mod!

This is an extremely well done mod, from the models to their clothes to the way their vestigial wings open when they jump. well done, and I hope this race does well!

Very nice! A race different enough from the vanilla ones that it feels needed, but not so different that it feels out of place. The custom ship and respawn animations are lovely, but I wish there were more custom content, like armor and clothing, to really give this race a life of its own. Also I think that a better pain noise can be found in the npc/quadruped files... "bugthinghead" makes a very nice, mantis-like sound. Also I noticed the emotes didn't quite fit... I'm not sure how a bug race would even emote, if at all.

Not the first insect race mod, but even this early on it's by far the best in my opinion! Characters look exotic, customization is enough to give them different looks without being too strange, and most of the options available look pretty good! Bonus points for the animated abdomen too.

I only have one minor issue and that's the underwear. Of all the races in Starbound except Glitch, insectoids are probably the ones who should least need undies, or breasts for that matter but I'm not one to complain about that - they look nice and make the chest area look better than if it was just blank all the way up.

Anyway, good work and I look forward to seeing what more you end up adding to the race in the future!

They look great :) and yeah same about the ship colors, the interior stands out a bit much, but the ship still looks cool.

This is actually really cool. The only gripes I have are the colors on the ship could be improved and the eyes are a solid color when a bit of lighting on them could make a big difference. Also, if I had any suggestions it'd be to have a block that looks like a honeycomb or something. I know those are more bee-ish than mantis-ish but it'd still look really sharp as a ship background or whatever.

Just tested it because I love mantises. An that mod has potential. It's not done yet (no lore etc.), I don't really like the crystal ship, most of the mandibles look weird. But this mod is full of potential. Some of the weapons are really good.

Just some ideas to make them look more like mantises : add wings on the abdomen. Add more greenish and brownish colors, as well as whitish ones. Make some weapons look like their raptorial legs, since you can't make the arms look like them.

And another idea, because I would just love that : add some specifications of different species : the crest of Phyllocrania paradoxa, etc.

Other than that, and as I said : this mod is looking great and I'll check the updates for sure !
