About the Mod:
This is my first of hopefully many mods in the "Keeing it Sci-fi" series.
This one focuses on the mining experience, starting with the games mining tools.
There are now tools for EVERY tier, not just Tier 1 and Tier 4!
The first tools feel more powerful, and the final tools ARE more powerful than anything in the vanilla game.

What all is in this Mod so far:
You start the game with a broken mining laser and a gun. The Matter Manipulator has been made useless for mining at the start of the game.
There is a new quest that instructs you to create a stone tool. This replaces both the stone pickaxe and the stone axe.
--This gun is just a randomly generated one at the moment, but will become race specific in the near future.
The mining lantern now unlocks the recipe for the lantern on a stick which has been re-balanced for being unlocked earlier in the game. There is now also an early game upgrade to it: the lantern on a pole... and more coming soon.
There are a total of 13 new tools added to the game (replacing the vanilla games tools), and more are coming. New unique recipes (some are still work in progress), and even a new crafting station (with more features coming).
