Updated for the new Angry Koala release, things are now so incredibly simple. Put this in your /mods folder, and you can install any Angry Koala-compatible species mod by editing only that mod's .species file and adjusting a single number. No more need to move label data around or something like that.
For the first species you install, set the index to 6. For the second, set it to 7, and so on. That's all you should need to do to make it work, and you can go all the way to 31.
