    this should hopefully solve the problem with FU critters causing biome-visitation issues.


    Whew. This is tiring! Well worth it for all you guys, though!

  2. NPC fix #2

    sayter
    fixes the planet-based quest NPCs and the Elder Cultist npcs. This should hopefully stop the beam-to-ship or CTD issues when stumbling on them.

    Nothing else for now, until more fixes come in.

    Sorry folks... tons in this new stable update to adjust for FU. Thankfully nothing major that takes a long time to do :)

    the bulk of the work is now done, and it's down to minor stuff that is "breaking" things. Another day or two and we should be fully back in business.

  3. more fixes!

    As stated in the last update notes, this is NOT a modpack update since I cannot create modpacks from my office. This is a folder, so you'll need to delete your modpack version and unzip this as a FOLDER into your /mods/ directory




    - I've removed the "broken" critters

    - I've removed references to the remixedMegaMountains terrain gen. I deleted it mistakenly, and will need to remake it later.

    These should fix issues accessing some biomes due to FTL issues,...

  4. more fixes

    expect a veritable barrage of fixes over the next while, since there is so much to change with FU due to all the stable updates.

    This pass mostly removes or fixes issues with biome generation to prevent sudden teleporting to ships or travel-loop issues.


    As usual, report any more that you find with an error log please so that I can fix the problems as they crop up. If you do not post an error log do not expect my help, since I cannot...

    Some fixes so that quests work again

    testing FU critters on several biomes (bog, mountainous, infernus, frozen volcanic, frozen moon, scorching desert and one or two more)

    fixes to Bees! compatibility

    addressed changes to NPC behaviors


    you'll still find some horribly unbalanced weapons, armor etc as I have not yet gotten to them. One thing at a time.

    Also, I am aware that FU biomes on "planet view" from your ship and the main menu are not currently displaying continents and land. Some...

  6. Stable Update

    Note that there is a LOT more to add for the initial stable update. This is purely so that it actually launches without a crash.

    NOTE: The Outpost quest giver will probably crash you if you try to start the quests through him. I'll get this fixed up tonight. Seems that for some reason my quest files didn't update despite doing so this morning.


    I've also tossed in a few minor changes:

    to the first 17 people that downloaded, re-download and the pak issue should hopefully be fixed

    • jellies have far less hp now, and also severely reduced armor. They’re tough, but not ridiculous now.

    • bog biomes no longer act as oceans. the new terrain gens help it look better anyhow.

    - adjusted zathi and porphis recipes, as they each had a typo

    - fixed some minor parallax issues with incorrect basecounts given for images

    Fatal Circuit (thanks to CLeF’s MrChow for letting me use him) (not spawning yet)

  9. Stuff!!!!! STUFF!!!!

    - added new percentage-based health and energy buffs. These will be used in a few places to make for some more interesting health, armor and energy buffs.

    - insanity effect fixed. it should now be suitably annoying.

    - changed up a few recipes for plants, armor and resources

    - hurricanes significantly reduced on slime worlds (from 15% to 5%), while Slimestorm and Lesser Slime Storm increased slightly in frequency

    - fixed Slime monsters to behave differently. They now chase better, hop,...
  10. couple changes, and a couple fixes

    Sorry for the rapid-fire updates over the last few days. Lots of small but necessary changes.


    - fixed cell hardening 2 not unlocking. pick up a cell hardening 1 to unlock the recipe.

    - medbay bed has darker grey borders to better match other lab stations.

    - medbay bed has a higher-tier regeneration ability, which should heal you quite quickly now. It may require re-placing your bed or making a new one, but it should be okay.

    - new grasses added: Alien Grass...
