  1. Finally!

    sayter
At long last, 1.5 introduces plant recipe unlocks.

    This means several things:

    1. You'll start with only a few plant recipes. You'll also need to break and re-place your Gene Design Lab or you'll have no recipes at all.
    2. You'll need to unlock more by finding resources or crafting lesser plants to unlock the higher tier ones
    3. Plant recipes and Gene recipes have been altered quite a bit. Genes are used a bit more, while resources are used a bit less.

    Other Updates for 1.5
    --------------------------------

    Graphics
    -------------

    - images have been optimized again, shrinking FU a few megabytes in size.

    - added second blue star variant

    - several of the professionbound plants have had their graphics altered to reduce the similarity between them. Altered: Yellowfoot, Lactarius Indigo, Fayshroom , Silverleaf, Blood Root, Ginseng

    - mad science goggles (2nd type, slanted) adjusted visually. They no longer look crooked.

    Biomes, Stars
    --------------------

    - Fungal, Metallic Moon, Proto and Penumbra biomes no longer appear in vanilla star systems (Gentle, Eccentric, Radioactive, Frozen and Fiery stars). This makes them a bit more rare, and improves biome selection in those system types to make progression reasonably straightforward.

    - Metallic Moons can now max out at level 6, rather than 5. This increases Densinium chances. You want Densinium chances.

    - Ice Waste planets only appear in Frozen sectors of systems now. Ice Waste moons remain unchanged.

-New Biomes: Dark Primeval, Tarball and Scorching Desert. Primeval and Scorching Desert are “reskins” with a different feel or danger level. Tarball is new.

    -New Sub-Biome: Gore Forest

-New Planet Type: Super-Dense. Extreme gravity. Like Unknown worlds, loads a large random selection of biomes/sub-biomes.

    Gear, Plants, Etc
    -----------------------------

    - most weapons should now use the colored damage indicators from the latest Stable updates.

    - new damage type: cosmic

-cultist loot significantly reduced (seeing as they were dropping ridiculous amounts of items before...oopsies!)

    - thorn effect on fayshroom, writhing vine and stranglevine has had a damage increase

    - all elder paintings have been substantially reduced in size

    - all wild plants “should” now give non-seed items (a few were erroneously till doing so). Once CF addresses the bug with itemDrop on wild plants, that is.

    - almost all plants now harvest without being torn from the dirt

    - Ginseng renamed to Heartroot. Its effect remains the same.

    - Guam more suitably named as “Rad Grass”. It’s produce is now Rad Leaf. Its effect remains the same.

    - shuffled some recipes into the proper folders

    - vine blocks should now properly extract

-Blizzberry now blocks extreme cold, vanilla cold, and liquid nitrogen freeze

-Snowberry now blocks snow, slush and ice movement effects

-Regeneration effects fixed, and a new one added. The med bay is much better now. You may need to replace it, though.

-Most plant recipes have been reworked extensively

-Some Xeno Station recipes reworked, some new ones added

    - particle cannon now uses particle core rather than nuclear core. Hyperion Particle Cannon still uses nuclear core.

    - new armor pieces added: Star Master Helm and Skullcap, Hi-Fi Earphones, Hooded Survival Mask

    - new sidequest added: Seeds of Discontent 1, 2 and 3.

    - new sidequest added: Assassins Plight 1, 2 and 3

    - new weapons: Tesla Staff, Druid Staff, Poison Ejector, Longarm Pistol, Longarm Shotgun (all of their recipes are loot or quest reward only)
