FrackinRaces 5.3

Enables racial abilities for all Vanilla races, and many modded ones too!

    Quite a few little tweaks

    humans got a nerf to their HP and Energy buffs but gained a Perfect Block defense stack in return. All their other abilities remain.


    avians and avali now fall slower than other races. The avians just baaaarely fall slower which reduces their falling damage even further.

    Avali float very well and are essentially immune to fall damage. They can glide about a little when in the air. They lose their damage bonus and take a slight HP nerf as a consequence to this...

    Some rebalancing to abilities in this update

    glitch have less penalties. Their main drawbacks are now fall damage and underwater weakness, and their passive slowed regen to energy. Their -5% energy is now +5% energy

    Apex got their HP buff increased from 8 to 20%

    Avians suffer 5% more HP loss


    Avians and Avali gain slowed falling, which should help them feel substantially more "birdish" without breaking their gravity like in earlier experiments.

    floran fix, and a few adjustments. namely, glitch is changed a bit. no more slow walk , and instead they take an energy regen time penalty.

    not sure why, but getting different results for the same patched food items from different users.


    going to assume mod conflicts is the cause, as the files were fine on my end and working.


    so, ive simply removed the food patch files. Instead, I will edit something else to get the effect later on.

    mucked up the patch files for the food items. this fixes those annoying errors
  6. UI additions

    When creating a character, the vanilla starbound races now have their new bonuses listed. This should clear up any remaining confusion. Stats in-game are accurate if they differ from the site writeup.
  7. glitch swap

    sayter
    changed the glitch debuff to jump to a Falling Damage increase instead.

    The jump debuff was screwing up a few vanilla progression things.

  8. Phase 1 - Ability Revamps

    first order of business: the mod *should* work without FU now.



    Every vanilla race got an edit this time, as well as Tanz's Fenerox as they are canon species as well.


    HUMAN:
    --------------------
    Humans are the "baseline" race, but still have a few bonuses of their own.
    Max Health + 20%
    Max Energy +30%
    25% Knockback Resistance
    Max Food + 30 (total 100, from vanilla 70)
    Jump Hold Time +0.02s



    AVIAN:

    Avians are great if you like to jump high and cause a lot of pain.

    So, something new to try


    firstly, Familiars players , your race will work properly now. My bad.


    Second:


    Hylotl and Viera have a new ability. The only difference is HP for Hylotl and Energy for viera:

    Perfect Blocks now restore a small amount of HP/Energy. Each successive block increases the amount regained. Failing a shield block resets the bonus back to 0. The energy one may not be useful...let me know.

    It is also worth noting that anything else that modifies shield.lua will be...
