  1. greenRAM
    Flooding (Tested on 1.0)
    A small, modular water overhaul.

    -Light rain now spawns water.
-Heavy rains now spawn even more water.
    -Sprinklers now spawn water.
    -Backgrounds drain less liquid.

    Installation:
-The .zip file contains 4 folders. Choose up to one .pak file per folder and place them into your starbound/mods folder.

    Light Rain Customizations:

FloodingL-.2: Light rain spawns some water.
FloodingL-.4: Each light rain projectile spawns the same amount of water as the vanilla heavy rain.
FloodingL-.6: Light rain spawns even more water.
FloodingL-.8: Light rain spawns double the water of vanilla heavy rain.
    FloodingL-1.0: True Flooding! (GreenRAM's preference)

    Heavy Rain Customizations:

FloodingH-.6: Heavy rain spawns a little more water.
FloodingH-.8: Each heavy rain projectile spawns double the water of vanilla heavy rain.
FloodingH-1.0: Heavy rain spawns even more water.
FloodingH-1.5: Heavy rain spawns a lot more water!
    FloodingH-2.0: True Flooding! (GreenRAM's preference)

    Background Drain Customizations:

FloodingB-.1: 10% background drain. This is half the the vanilla background drainage rate.
    FloodingB-.02: 2% background drain.
    FloodingB-.005: .5% background drain.
    FloodingB-.0025: .25% background drain! (GreenRAM's preference)
FloodingB-0: No Background Drain. True Flooding! (This is a bad idea! Disabling the background drain completely will break the game. You've been warned.)

    Sprinkler Water Spawning Customizations:

    FloodingS-.2: Sprinklers spawn some water.
FloodingS-.4: Sprinklers spawn the same amount of water as the vanilla heavy rain.

I made this because I enjoy the chaos this potentially could create, especially with farming. Now, you'll need to create drainage systems in order to avoid flooding your crops. If it breaks anything too bad let me know and I'll take the mod down.

    Warning:
This is potentially very game breaking, but hopefully mostly in a fun way.

Note: One big problem with flooding villages is that the village will accuse you of stealing after it floods. Eventually villagers will attack you for no reason. It's the same bug that happens during meteor storms. The theft system seems to be broken right now in the vanilla game. When the theft system is fixed or removed, this mod will be much more fun to play with.

Has some great options, but can be really hard to find the right balance between heavy/light/draining. Would also be much improved if settings could be changed based on biomes? Still, I consider it a must-have.

Great job. Just what you need to thrive in desert planets.

Great mod but a bit game-breaking.
If you add some less intense flavors to the flooding mod it will be an awesome 5/5 mod.

Not sure if I can make a version that's not game breaking. But, yeah, it's a bit much right now. Perhaps I could make it modular, so that we can choose our own balance. The game still won’t handle any of those settings well though, even the most mild. It's a shame, really. I'd really like to see more robust weather overhaul mods like this, that create more intense and destructive weathers. As this proof of concept mod shows, that's not really very practical right now though.
