Your link doesn't work. Seems odd that it doesn't work with Kawas, as it is just the image for the race I have included - the rest is coded in the respective mod. I'll test it out though.
Right now there is just one skin color option, but there are 7-8 of the classic color - not a bug, just me having made ready to add more colors :) Next patch, I'll add 9 extra colors :)

Actually, I should have written this: "If you liked the old UFO better, it is still there. You can even add it to any chacter you have already created. If you have an existing character, then make sure you empty your ship for any items, as they WILL be lost oterwise

First go to: ../mods/grey_race/ships/grey/old ufo, and move the files to: ../mods/grey_race/ships/grey, and overwrite the files there.

After this, if it is an old character, go to the ../starbound/player folder and delete your characters SHIP file.

Log into the game, select your character and a new ship will spawn :)

In the future, I will have more ship designs people can choose from, also to make preperations for when the time comes, that we will be able to upgrade our ships.

I'm thinking, as this is the most common part, that you have another race installed?

If so, follow the guide I provided below for a solution, but just instead you edit the other race that you installed before mine.

To add other races, first download Notepad++ (advanced text editor)

Then you must go to the folder:
.. \Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\mods\grey_race\interface\windowconfig

Open the file: charcreation.config

Under line 3, "textLabels" you add a line for the race (usually in the downloaded charcreation.config already, so just copy from that. (make sure you delete it afterwards, as you should only have one charcreation.config in your mods folder)

Then go to line 192, and add a line that reads:
{
"id" : 20,
"image" : "/interface/title/greyfemale.png",
"position" : [208, 0]
}

Exchange the id, with 21
Exchange the image, with the image file of the race you want to add
Exchange the position with 225 (intervals of 27 horizontaly, and -26 verticaly)

Lastly, you go to the folder:

.. \Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\mods\grey_race\

Open the file player.config

In line 8, "species" you add the race you want to add at the end.
Make sure, again, that only one player.config file exists in your mods folder.

Then you should be set :D

Wonderful review - and yes! I am working on the ship, it didn't turn out as I had hoped.

More head options will also be available and the clothes will also be a priority.
