Classic Food Mechanics v1.7.0

No more rotting or unstackable food!

  1. EclipticWulf
Note: All the food changes are done via the buildfood.lua file, so there will probably be no implications!:

This mod changes the buildscript LUA to make it so all food (even exisiting)
    1. Is stackable to 1000
    2. The tooltip kind is changed to the default item tooltip (no more "this food should be fresh for awhile")
    3. The rotting LUA is removed
Now, you may be asking yourself, "What if I NEED the rotten food? What's the point of bothering with this mod?"
No worries! If you don't want to worry about your food rotting on you but you still want rotten food sometimes, you can buy Rotten Food at the Terramart for 1 pixel!

I guess this mod is incompatible with Aging Alien Alcohol or some sort, otherwise great mod.

I didn't mind the rotting, but the lack of stacking was driving me nuts. Then I found this mod, and now I have space for food again!

It is an excellent mod, I have started with the game in its survivor difficulty and food is very necessary as it is added the food bar. I took the surprise that the food would rot but kept it in a refrigerator. Thank you very much for creating this mod. I will be very pleased with the future updates or compatibility with mods that you can think of.

I just finished "universalizing" the mod - it should now work with any mod. Enjoy - and let me know if you face any issues!
