Better Steel Recipe (Glad Giraffe) 1.3

Make Steel Bar recipe more realistic.

    8-2-2016 Update: This mod will not be updated for the 1.0 Starbound update as Steel Bar is no longer in game, anyone who wishes to use my mod or any assets within as a basis for a mod may do so with my blessing. Update End

    After having played the Pleased Giraffe Nightly build and having a very informative conversation with Mackinz in the starbound forums, I decided to make the Steel Bar recipe more realistic.

    The default recipe for Steel Bars requires 1 Copper Bar + 1 Iron Bar, my mod makes the recipe require 1 Iron Bar + 2 Coal Ore, giving more realism without disrupting the ease of progression. I must give credit to Mackinz in the forums for pointing out the lack of realism in the original recipe.

    Nice Mod and i like it. But can you also do a Furnace-Mod like the Furnace in Koala where we must put coal and iron in and then we must wait a while for melting bars? Also a good thing was that this furnace works without standing all the time by this furnace. When you can do, i will pay for it! I wish Koala-Furnace back :) ;)

      This mod is no longer updated as the Steel bar was removed in the 1.0 update (Cheerful Giraffe).

      Thanks for the review. The recipe has been changed multiple times, was coal and iron in Perturbed Koala, and oil and iron in Upbeat Giraffe.
