It's good. Scanning down a nice wild building and printing it off into your own "village" nearby your spawn thoroughly solves most aspects of being unable to spawn wherever you want, and the idea of a Medical Tank filled with Healing Water (distilled to a gelatinous ooze for extra science, of course) that suspends you in a repairing state is nothing short of gorgeous, especially for high tech facilities. If only we could control NPCs and put them inside rows and rows of them now...
Unfortunately, the pilch_basescan and pilch_basebox files aren't playing nice with Starbound suddenly and I'm not sure why. I can do without the basebox, but the basescan module is to die for. When I remove them from the pilch_sciencestation file the game can run again.

Thx for the help. It works now. Sorry for the late update of your rating because I did not know how to do it. Now this is a solid 5/5, and its future features will reach like 1000/5 !!

- 3/5,
I have a problem here. The scanner is not responding while I try to interact it. Is it a special way of doing so? Also, what kind of condition does it scan and not scan? I am new to this mod so it would be great if you can teach me a thing or two about how to do these please.

You have a marker placed and the scanner is wired to it?

What's the issue exactly? Are you playing on stable or the nightly updates?

Five stars for five reasons.
VERY easy to use and craft, comes with other cool things as a plus, useful (& easy) to use when moving something, great for adding buildings to a planet, & it just comes in handy anytime.
Also I was able to move a Avian Airship with it and it does work, only thing is the spawning of the birds that stop it from building which isn't really a problem if you know how to take care of it. -

- 5/5,
I really found this useful.
I have been populating a planet with structres around the universe.
It has at least 7 cities now.
The only thing i wonder, will you add a funtion to name the scanned bases and print them on the tech station?
It would do great help.
thanks, and keep the great work -

I've used this make massive base expansions, also along with the item you buy to get the panels and building resources you can make awesome bases! +5

- 5/5,
I picked up your mod because I knew it would come in handy. I have had it for over a month, and hadn't gotten a chance to use it until tonight. My lady and I had been exploring the galaxy, looking for a planet we liked enough to build a house on. We finally found it, and started to build it out of some bricks we stole from an avian temple. We put some work into it, and then out of nowhere, METEOR SHOWER! We were pretty upset. We didn't want to tear everything down and rebuild it again. Base in a Box is the only reason all of our hard work was salvaged. Thanks, Base in a Box!

One of the most useful mods around for sure combining several remarkable key features:
The medical tank is a godsend which you can carry everywhere but it kind of makes the hi-tech tent redundant.
The capacity to take buildings with you is an absolute marvel and useful to no end! There is a bit of a learning curve there but once you master it, its positively amazing!
The default bases in a box are sort of useless once you master the system but still good for your first stuff.
This , along with lightdrones, is one of mods i consider an absolute requirement to play the game. -

The idea is nice but despite reusing both the Mk2 and MK3 upgrades the science station does not appear in the robotic crafting table

Are you using other mods? This is usually caused when a mod (typically an older one that hasn't been updated properly) replaces player.config instead of merging with it.

I very much like this.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of building from scratch in games. I much prefer modifying existing structures or building from modular components. This mod is right along with my preferences.
While the pre-made content and functionality are already excellent, I hope that down the road there is an increased ability to create a template from a scanned building that can be deployed repeatedly, preferably with a unique naming system to tell custom building blueprints apart.
I look forward to see how this mod continues to improve as Starbound matures. -
