In norse mythology Mimir was also an Aesir who basically knew things no one else knew. he was murdered by dwarves, who turned his blood into a mead that when you drank it, made you temporarily wise beyond all, and when Odin found out, he basically killed the dwarves, took the mead, and Mimirs head (and now the head tells him hidden secrets occasionally)

You just have to live on, it's ok to be sad, but it's not ok to let the death of someone special keep you sad, they would never want you to be sad all the time. Suck it up, remember them by the fun times you had and move on. :)
