That's the reason I jumped constantly, so they could never reach me.

Well I had 200 med kits until I dropped them all on the ground accidentally and quit the game so they all disappeared... XD

Ah yes, killing that spider.
The best bet is to, as with all bosses, bring lots of healing items.
Bring a spear for waveclear, a blade or energy whirl one if you can find it.
Guns for taking shots at the spider off screen when you can.

Already killed it, also killed the mech on second try.
