but starbound doest have ammo and is using energy insted so if you could use the crystals on guns it should work like mele weapons, every hit...
They allready have the glitch crossbows that have status effects so i dont see why that wont work?
i think this would be a cool idea and you could change just melee to any weapon so you could make a lightning gun or poison throwing knifes
