based on progress they have been making and the specific stuff they're working on i'd say july is latest but im praying for june coarse it will probably still have a bit of buggy and issues with multiplayer if that is even accessible yet

im just trying to remind everybody kindly that these forums arent for insulting each other.

 

I'd say a beta release is still a few months off.

The increased frequency of updates on the main site is a welcome development, but it tells a story of a project deep in alpha stages.

While new feature reports are always exciting and sexy to wannabe project managers like ourselves, they're not indicators that something is ready for prime time. This goes double when the coders are routinely saying "Oh crap, new feature X broke stuff". I'm glad the devs feel confident enough to be so forthright with us, but it's also important for us to reward that honesty by being honest with ourselves and whether our expectations are reasonable, given the feedback we're getting from the dev team. I feel that getting all revved up that we're going to be getting our hands on something worth playing sooner rather than later will just lead to disappointment.

Or they could just drop the beta tomorrow and I look like an idiot here. I can live with that.
