Stompopolos Gotta Catch 'em All! Mk.2

<Tiy> once the sandbox element of the game is entirely finished, i'll consider doing a preorder which gets you access to a "beta" (which is the finished sandbox mode)
<Tiy> and the full release will come with the main mission
<Tiy> but thats just an idea at this point
<Gameinsky> I thought the sandbox was pretty much done?
    <PolarBear> It could work.
<Bamse6666> that would be awesome! just being able to run around would actually be fantastic
<Tiy> there's going to be a lot of content, so the wait will pay off I promise
<Bamse6666> i dont think anyone doubts that :)
<Havoc_> would you mind if I posted those comments tiy?
    <Tiy> if you like
<Tiy> make it clear that nothing is set in stone
    <Havoc_> will do
<Tiy> I mean in terms of why its taking so long
    <Tiy> just as an example
<Tiy> outside of armor that drops/is found in chests/is bought from npcs, of which there are tons more
    <Tiy> and excluding special/visual armor
<Tiy> there are 10 tiers of armor
<Tiy> and every race has their own armor per tier
<Tiy> so thats 60 armors straight off of the bat
<Tiy> then youve got unique stuff, drop only stuff, shop stuff, procedurally generated stuff
    <Tiy> etc etc
<Bamse6666> can the other races use the other ones armor?
<Tiy> races can share armor yeah
<Tiy> but the game is set up in such a way that for quite some time you wont be able to craft another races armor
<Tiy> so if you want it youll have to trade or find it

Hopefully the armor is handled like in terraria were each tier has different armor sets.
Like an armor set for attacking, a set for defensive, a set for energy users, etc.
You know, like the hardmode armors in terraria where the helmet changed what bonuses it gave you.

Not to mention the fact that Robots look Flamboyant as hell when wearing Avain armor.

But it's tiered, so you would only need the top 6 for personal use... unless you want to emulate the terracotta army with all armour variations, which would be cool as hell.

For me personally I hope that they have armor racks so that I can hang them all up.

What if different genders had different armor styles and you were a guy cross dressing in women's armor....

  9. Mokunen

    Mokunen Void-Bound Voyager

That was exactly my idea. They had armour racks in Terraria (I once built a gallery with every kind of pre-hardmode armor), so I would expect them to be present in SB as well.

... What if you were a guy playing a female character who crossdresses in men's armor?
    Obligatory Inception reference. Also, Mulan.

Probably better ideas, but I think any new tidbits will be desired by everyone on the forums, so I don't think it'll have an effect on how many people read this.

neat screenie. I like the contrast, the incredibly complex machine wearing tribal clothing. Where's this shot from?

Try putting it in your disk drive. If that doesn't work, put it in a blender with some water and blend until it's a smooth paste, then pour it all over the back of your computer.

You could just duct tape the money to your screen so you don't have to waste energy repeatedly throwing it.
    That's what I did. :)
