I went all the way back to the caves and burnt my way through the spider webs.
And then got defeated.
Same goes for this big rock "tower" near the house. I'm falling from the windy path. >:c

 

for the big rock tower, you need to use flower and burrow when the wind starts to blow; you won't get knocked off.

However, as a warning, the boss on the big rock tower has loads of tricks that you need to discover and find a counter for in order to have a chance at beating it; I won't spoil it for you but I saw plenty of people who are way, way over-leveled and died at the hands of that... thing. Best leave it be for now.

As for the big spider boss, it's also another optional boss and won't need to die to beat the game; all of the optional bosses in this game is incredibly unique and difficult (the rock tower boss being the most unique of them all), so it's really up to you to beat them, or avoid them.

Just know that every optional boss will give you three items, with one guaranteed unique accessory that won't get useless as your level gets too high. These accessories are incredibly powerful, if you know how to use them.

 

Ah, I wouldn't think of hiding as a flower. Good to know.

Actually I have problems with normal mobs in these areas, so I'll stick with the story for a while.

As a bear I noticed that whenever I hear 3+ chests in the area, it might contain the optional boss fight. So far I was right.
