NOTES (Content Patcher): Name/description changes do not affect hats that currently exist in the world! It only affects newly created hats. If a hairstyle change is being forced in 1.0.2, or if some hats are not the same appearance as they used to be after a file update, spawn a new version of the hat, either by re-purchasing it at the Hat Mouse shop or using CJB Item Spawner and searching for the respective hat. NOTES (Json Assets): It seems that Json Assets 1.2+ (unofficial update) does not currently support hat names when using a language other than English. Hat names will appear as "true" or "false." Ah, no, I see the issue. It's not so much a custom hairstyle issue as it is a hat issue in the vanilla, un-modded game. What happens is that the way some of the hats work in vanilla (particularly the full-coverage hats), forces a more "hat-friendly" hairstyle so that bigger, poofy, or spiky hair doesn't poke out the sides. That's why you see the hairstyle change when you wear the horns, which replace a full-coverage hat. Looking carefully back on the replacements, I see there are a couple other hats that will behave the same way. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with a way to prevent the hairstyle change, but I'll see what I can do to rearrange some of the hats, in order to work around it.
Don't worry too much about rearranging them. I was just curious more than anything, though maybe there is some way to prevent the hair from changing? I'm not too familiar with modding myself, so I have no idea.

Thank you for this! My farmer had always default to Tropiclip because IMO the other hats were too big and not very pleasing to the eye. It's winter in my game atm and I'm wearing a Beanie, so cute!
