    They are changing how pets work in next version.

    If you look for the vanilla files with same name - its basically same way updating.
    Currently I have no plans to update it in the immediate future.

    So I think the mod is set up correctly. I mean, I have the sprites aligned and everything. But how do I apply it? It doesn't seem to show up in the actual game. I have Purchasable Pets enabled as well (1.4 I believe...).

    Not sure I have the original files anymore, but it isn't too hard
    If you download Purchasble Pets mod - it should give a good example on what to do.
