Stardew Valley Xbox One + PS4: Known Issues & Fixes (Patch 1)

I can now confirm this doesn't work 100% of the time. While it does help keep the issues at bay, it doesn't seem to be fully effective, with issues happening on occasion. I'll keep testing stuff out while Chucklefish look into the matter, let's hope this is fixed sooner than later because it's proving to be quite persistent! xD

 

Just had the game completely crash to the Xbox home screen while playing the blackjack style game in the casino in Oasis. Approximately 8:20 PM MST.
Husband also still has frequent crashes in his file while the game is attempting to save at the end of the day, but mine does not, so it seems like the last patch only fixed that for some but not all.

 

Oh that's good. I was really hoping when I paid for this in December that I'd be able to finally play it two months later so that works out.

 

If you guys could help me I have this issue. Sent my gamer id to your email, here it is again. Help!?!?

So the promise of a patch in January, after most of us had their game break around Christmas was a lie then? I couldn't get a refund anymore so I'm back here, waiting for a game I paid for about a month ago to be functional. It's an utter disgrace. None of this ever gets addressed in these posts, not a shred of sympathy for the people who paid good money for this game.

 

Trying to find this in the many pages of posts, but having trouble... Do we need to send our gamertag info or what not to anyone to help with our save files being fixed for Xbox One? If so, where do we send it and what info is needed? Thanks

 

I appreciate the ETA from @tccoxon and at least we have a realistic timeline, but I agree it does seem like there isn't much in the way of apologizing for this. Having a game with serious breaking issues for several weeks after release is a big problem, and it doesn't seem like there's an attempt to make amends with customers who have given their money to this company.

Once the patch comes out, it will have likely been 6 weeks since I was able to play the game - and I was only able to play it for 2 weeks after I bought it.

 

No, they just needed that to find the problem. They have identified it and will fix it, so you don't need to send in your information.

Is there a direct email I need to send an inquiry to? I'd really love this file to be salvaged.

 

They said when the patch is sent through it will no longer be an issue for games from that point on, but saved games before the patch will need to be individually repaired, based on gamertag and individual files sent in correct?

 

Add me to the list of people that got one week of play out of Stardew before the Xbox one save corruption bug hit. One hard crash in that time.

My wife is doing better on her profile but she's had the end of day crash 5 or 6 times now and hasn't even hit year 2.

Both of us have run into the missing cursor issue many times.

It boggles my mind that these problems weren't discovered in testing if 2 people discovered so many problems in less than 40hrs play. Was it rushed out in time for Christmas? The most aggravating thing is that it's such a bloody good game! It's a shame I can't play it

 

I read it as the patch will HOPEFULLY automatically repair your save, no sending required.

 

I am playing on PS4 and I also have 2 stuck fertilizers and sometime in the middle of summer year 3 I have lost my hoe!?!? How will I plant new things?? How will I collect the worm foraging things??? :'( year 3, I don't want to start over.....

 

So, I have a uh...interesting glitch. I got stuck in the Community Center introduction video, since I already have a Joja membership. Workaround is admittedly easy (don't go into the town center during a time the cutscene would activate), but I'm sure it would be frustrating if you aren't doing this on a file made specifically for that achievement/trophy.

 

@tccoxon Will this new update/patch include multiplayer??

 

In the current state of the game, multiplayer should be the last thing they worry about right now.
