((I'm just going to post this up. You all can continue with the ship RP, We'll assume most of the ship events as inconsequential, and just start this now)) @Arra @Dipdoo @Roland Weiss @Zoomninja3000 @The Alonne @Dragonclaw @themushroomlord @HunterC1998 @Omicron445 @BlueShard @SneakyBox @HunterC1998 Well you've finally arrived. This is it. After navigating the cavernous mines led by an eager khloqdahl, you've come to... something... something truly incredible... but just as horrifying... This place... You can feel its age... it's strangeness... its... Unsettling feeling of horrifying knowledge laying just beyond those doors. The only question is which one... -Schäfer You notice a pile of... fungus. Assorted slimes, molds, and mushrooms. The scent it carries is identical to the one you've noticed on the strange device.
"In the mines huh?" Roland keeps looking around, honestly trying to find something identify and with this...Place..
((From now on, Schäfer is orange, and Rook is a dark blue.)) "Ugh, that really clogs up the nose." Rook zips up her jacket, the collar covering her nose. "Yeah, makes one wish for a respirator."
This place feels, wrong, somehow. Calico draws one of her swords with her left hand, while extending the claws on her right hand. ---------------------- I don't like this place. Logan is visibly shaking, with a sense of dread hanging over him.
Conall squares his shoulders and bows his head, humming a quiet tune to keep his mind focused. He looks up again with a grin. "Finally! No more waiting around." He walks up to the nearest door, doorframe..? And tries to get a look inside.
Lesc goes wide eyed...he gaves about, standing close to Lescallia Lescallia looks around....slightly confused at this,,place
"At any rate, this place smells familiar; kinda like that gadget... you brought that thing, right boss?" "If it came from here, that would make sense; give me a moment." Rook pulls out a polyhedral object as she walks toward the doors.
You notice an odd dampness to the floor... Something wet had been through here before within at most a day ago. The temple. It's as alluring as it is repulsive, but there's an inherent aura of... something. Like the place itself feels apathetic to your presence. ------ You feel a nagging tension. You shouldn't be here. Nothing here can be worth it. It's a gnarled and twisting gateway of some sort of smooth old stone. Like a great rocky valve grown from the earth itself. In the center is a glass peephole through which you can see inside what could possibly be a common room of some sorts. Tables grown out the floor with stools of a varying degrees of peculiarity strewn about and knocked over. Ancient skeletons of untold things remains seem present as well. You can't help but crack the slightest of grins at this place... You can almost hear the whispers of knowledge held within. -------- Lescallia can feel some sort of inherent emotion of unspoken dread. For once in quite a while, your smile wavers. ((Jolin is still in the old city. Do you mean Trakith?)) The tall axe wielding man is currently peering through one at the moment. For another, you notice what looks like another one of these polyhedrons embedded in the wall next to a door, except it has been broken. Dented beyond repair, and seemingly hollow inside.
He sees if there's some form of trail, and if he can see where it goes, "Check the floor folks..Something soggy has come through.."
Lesc smiles while his twins fades...He looks around, grinning like a child. He takes out a notepad, writing a poem, then another. He then proceeds to write down descriptors of his surroundings and mindset Lesca shivers, looking at her brother....why is he so enthused about so strange and disturbing a place...
Rook tries to pull out the remains of the broken polyhedron; she wants to see what'll happen when she replaces it with a whole one.
"I found a gathering place. Tables, seats, and... Dead?" He steps back from the door and feels around for the best handhold, pushing and pulling at the door once he gets a grip.
Calico grabs Rin's shoulder and quickly signs, "Pick 10 people, tell them to stick close to you. Make sure they're good fighters." ----------------------- Logan begins to gravitate towards Lescallia. "Do you feel that? This place is just wrong..." Logan lets out an involuntary yelp of fear. ---------------------- This is just great.
Conall stops and looks behind him with one eyebrow raised. "We've just started, save the yelping for when we meet a foe." He goes back to groping about for a hand-hold.
Rin looks around for a suitable place to make camp. "If we're to be here very long, we'll need a place to set as a home camp of sorts." Riley takes in the sights, mapping the layout of the place from the moment the ship landed. "I'll make us a map, in case we're lost."
Hokucide. It has to be. The place just reeks of a multitude ancient cultures. You were always a doctor, not a historian, but something about this place makes you wish you were. ------ Maybe... Maybe they abandoned him for a reason? No... that's not right. He ran. That's that. It's stuck fast. You can't even budge it with your bionics. The spiraled ring gives plenty of handholds, but it barely moves when you push it, and pulling it doesn't seem feasible at all. Assuming this is the same case on the other side, you don't think that it can be pushed or pulled open. You feel a hand on your shoulder from the great fluffy thing. A "cloak-doll" as they called it, whose name seems to be only pronounced in a musical tone. (C#, B, F#, D, G, C) While not the most prominent one here, there's definitely evidence of lord _____'s influence. You would probably find it easier to set up camp inside, but is that wise? ------------- It's only going to be saved to your datapad, but it works quite well. Once a route all the way down the mines. You can also do a scan and map a 3D render over your route as well, which may be useful for landmarks and such.
