I had a dream in which I was choking in my garage, as if the room was out of air. I began to float as I was trying to open a door, and time slows down until I wake up; holding my breath and with my heart racing like mad.
Thing is, the real garage doesn't have a front door, so it's a whole wall that is opened. I have no idea why was I choking in an open room such as this one.

My dream had a funny ending!
There was a bad guy. He was the father of another character and whilst i was in his domain he had full power over everything.
I used dream magic to annoy him, sending wave after wave of lvl 10 square people at his defenses.
I said something cocky. The bad guy said something about how i could not escape, because he could keep bringing me back to where i was beforehand.
I sat up in my bed and thought to myself "how about now, motherfluffer?" (I can force myself to wake up in dreams! Neat trick!)

I had a dream once where I was in a car race, but it was on the top floor of a skyscraper. Suddenly I was rammed by a Porche, I rammed the Porche back and it dissolved into nothingness. After that I drove out the window of the skyscraper but instead of falling I began to drive down the side. When I reach the ground, I began accelerating down the road until I came across a pack of cars occupied in a dead heat for first place. I somehow manage to pass by them all. After that, the road turned into exercise matts and the finishing line came into view. At that point I thought "there's the finishing line, better get out of the car," once I had gotten out of the car I began sprinting for the finish. When I was about 5 metres from the finish 3 competitors flashed past me on bycycles. Then I woke up.

    BloodyFingers The End of Time

whoa, hold the presses! BloodyFingers had a dream!

Ok, kidding aside, this is a good one. I can't remember it very well now, so it'll be light on details.
I was dungeon crawling along with some familiar faces. I think my brother was one of them. The whole setting reminded me of Dark Souls, it was dark and oppressive. And after we reached what looked like a boss or mid-boss, complete with minions surrounding it, in a very small room, I battled and defeated it.
Then I reached the top of the dungeon. I was greeted by a strange man. A doctor, in a Frankenstein-esque sense, it seemed. I can't recall exactly what happened but next thing I can remember is being strapped to an operating table, hands and legs bound by leather straps. The man stood beside me, and after I asked what was going to happen to me, he replied:
"I'll open your eye. As you requested me".

"eye". not "eyes". I would soon learn the meaning of that.

I protested, saying I didn't request any surgery, especially one that needed me bound to the table. But I passed out. I haven't heard of passing out in dreams, but this is the closest I can describe it. It wasn't a fade-in to the next part. No, I retained conscience in a way, but I couldn't feel nor perceive what was happening to me. I can't quite put it in words. When I regained my senses in a way, my vision shifted to a third person pespective so as to show me the results:

My eyes had been gouged out. Instead, there was a hole in the back of my head, with a big yellow eye at the bottom of it. Below it, a large spike? No, it looks like a beak of some sort. I was covered in slick black feathers and my arms looked like wings. That man had turned me into a freak. A backwards, cyclopic humanoid raven.

As I let that realization sink in, in horror, one though invaded my brain. A simple, obvious though. An urge, to be more precise. Honestly, what is the first thing you think about when you are a bird?

It took some getting used to this new form. As soon as I tried taking a step forward, I stepped back. My "controls" were inverted. But as soon ss I reached the balcony, it all came naturally to me. Surely enough, I took flight. My pespective never shifted back to first person, so I assumed that bulging thing in what was formerly the back of my head, my face now I suppose, is not just a big goggled eye. It had more to it than mere sight. Huh, this might've been a monkey-paw wish, but I can understand wishing for that. Maybe I did request this.

I suddenly felt really thirsty, so I flew towards the river nearby. As I tried to... I don't know, peck the water? see if I can exert some suction on my beaks? Well, the latter worked. Too well, in fact.

The current was gone. A puddle is all that was left. I must've been REALLY thirsty, because that didn't sate me. In fact, I am still feeling thirsty even now. Need to be careful around water sources for a while...

When I was a child, I would have nightmares almost every night. I almost confident this is because of some particularly nasty mold growing in the walls (Before we moved out, they renovated the bathroom and the entire inside of the wall, every single spot, was covered in thick mold). These dreams would often become sensory, usually pain and headaches. It got to the point I was afraid to sleep for a while.

I had a recurring dream that I was unable to speak, I'd open my mouth and nothing would come out. Then some unspeakable horror would drag me off, torturing me.

Another one that I sometimes still have involves me being around friends, but I'll turn away for a moment and when I turn back I'm alone. Nobody will be anywhere, no matter where I go. This is the scariest dream for me as solitude is my greatest fear.

Additionally, after a particularly bad breakup, I would have dreams about calling my ex and making up with them. It was painful because I did still have feelings for them and the dreams made me wake up crying frequently.

Luckily I have mostly bizzare but not scary dreams these days. For example, last night I had a vivid dream,

It began with me in a field, there was a tower in the center, I'm not sure if it was a broadcast tower or what-not. I had a gravity gun from Half-Life 2, and a giant worm thing attacked. I ended up punting scanners (Also from Half-life 2) at the creature until it died. I even opened the console and enabled the Buddha cheat so I wouldn't die because this boss was very hard to defeat.

After killing it, some nurses showed up concerned and escorted me to a mental hospital. Apparently I was crazy and was not actually Gordon Freeman. There was a creepy baby doll in my room but I wasn't scared; I kept complaining because the proportions were weird, it's head was thinner than it's torso.

Apparently at that point I was supposed to have a party for my birthday, so a nurse entered, she was a rather short girl named Jessica who I had went to school with. I ran out of the room and attempted to flee. It was easy because they were in the process of replacing old doors with new ones tied to an alarm. The old doors were all marked "Old- No Alarm" so it was quite easy to get away. When I ran through the lobby there was a table with a bunch of mannequins around it, but they had eyes like real people. I was for some reason not disturbed by this during my sleep. There was a banner overhead and party confetti. The eyes on the mannequins followed me but otherwise the things didn't move at all.

Once outside I found a strange mechanical spider I had to fight. I remember it was raining heavily, and the spider transformed into a different type of mech when I knocked off it's two front legs. I then declared my love to Jessica and that I had loved her all along (Disclaimer: I am not actually in love with her).

    It was strange.

At that point I woke up.

Not quite a dream, but once when i was like 12 i was doing homework at 4 a.m. and fell asleep on the chair. When i woke up i was paralyzed (didn't notice at the time), my head was on the desk, facing our doorway, there was the door (naturally) and a window above it looking into the darkness outside.

I got kind of hypnotized by the window and started seeing shit on the other side, it felt pretty long and i don't quite remember what i saw except a satan looking thing towards the end; at that point i was pretty scared, as expected when you get hard looks from the devil himself at 12. Then the devil/balrog/old iron king/beast/whatever was done instilling moderate fear into my soul and he kinda turned away and disappeared, by that time i was realizing it was a dream/hallucination and started waking up. But as i was regaining my senses, i finally shat the brick i was holding back when i saw white drops of paint slowly dripping from the ceiling down that window (my brain must have ignored the very real streaks of paint until i was done seeing things).

The only other time i felt this kind of fear (i was also half-awake then) was when my grandfather's snoring, within hearing distance, made the sound Kayako from The Grudge makes, i had watched the movie days before, and was the only person awake in the house.

    Edit: Kayako, not Sadako.

that sounds like sleep paralysis dude, scary as hell D:

i had a dream last night that i don't remember that well, but i know that i was at some weird waterpark/camp, and my uncles were trying to get me to enter this kayaking course (probably inspired by them actually trying to persuade me to kayak with them this summer). i said no, because i can't really swim at all, but eventually the kayaking course became this sailing trip around the world and then i wanted to go. at this point, though, they had already changed their mind and decided i shouldn't go, so i went out and climbed on the raft they were using to prepare kids for the trip anyway.

they were skeptical, but let me do the tests anyways. i have no idea about what the tests actually were, just that i was in deep water up to my neck, held up only by the floating thing i was holding on to - basically, an inch away from drowning. needless to say that if i had been fully lucid, i would have freaked the hell out. in the last test, though, i entered while nobody was looking and entered a different plane of existence. i was like a ghost, floating, invisible, and completely intangible to other people, and the only way i could interact with the original world was by writing in the mud of this one spot. i remember i wrote my name there when they started looking for me.

Awful dream. I had a dream that the BBC decided to kill off Peter Capaldi and replace him with some actor named Stephen (don't remember the last name) who couldn't act even a little. After two episodes with this guy, they cancelled Doctor Who. It was a nightmare.
I must be going through withdrawals for new episodes.

Just understood what causes a certain thing to happen often in my dreams (also just remembered that it happens often)

Now, in the dream i was some sort of apprentice spy, and i went to the mall with my dad to see a demonstration of spying techniques in the real world (which explains the mall, but not my dad...), when i met the guy who was going to do the demonstration, he used his charms to separate us, and while looking for them everything got really bright in the mall and i couldn't open my eyes (except briefly). I could see just a little near my feet, there was a lot of light but not enough for my eyes to close like that, still i looked for a place in the shade, and opened my eyes.
    My real life eyes.
They somehow leaked into the dream and i had been actively trying to open them for around a minute, while fully asleep. I wonder what that looks like to someone watching me.

Also, the whole spy thing was organized by the Chucklefish staff.

Ohhh yes, this is the thread for me. My dreams are weird. Seriously, I don't think I've had a single one that makes sense; I always laugh when I hear people say they get story ideas from dreams, thinking about what would happen if I did that. I do write them down, though, there's a whole document full.

Here's a short(er) one (still too long to just post though) that is the closest I've gotten to lucid dreaming:

In this dream, I was almost, just almost lucid dreaming! It was set in the city I live in, on a normal day, and the house was quite realistic, so that I feel weird being here now. Then, Dad - very calm - came and told us that we were being attacked, and to pack up. He said only to take what could fit in that big purse I pack sometimes. I was panicking and sometimes I would break down and say I couldn't do this.
However, partway through, I suddenly wondered if this was a dream. I looked around me and I don't know what led me to believe it, but I thought, "This is probably a dream." I was telling this to Willowpaw, standing in front of the side of the couch closest to the kitchen table, and when I thought, is it a dream, everything went swirly and purple and I thought I was waking up.
Even though it was a bad dream, I wanted to have control and be lucid, so I spun until I was back in the dream. Then I tried several ways of controlling things, but nothing worked except that, when I jumped, it felt almost like floating and higher than usual. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely reasonable and hadn't access to all of my usual memories, or I could have found another way, like reading a book or clapping the lights on and off. Also, I wasn't quite sure about its reality, so I still needed to be prepared, just in case it was real.
I paused once by the window and thought, "Well, I'll be surviving. I don't want to! It always seems so interesting to think about, but in real life..." There was a part where we were in front and Dad was talking to a blonde lady whom we knew, who worked on the house somehow, and he was going back to say goodbye to her, since it might be the last time they saw each other. I was under a wooden table, I think, and very scared thinking about that, but less so because it was probably a dream. Throughout the dream, my belief that it was real fluctuated.
Eventually I was finished packing and I guess we went out. (I packed essentials, food, and as many ponytail holders as I could find since it was also going to be surviving in the wild.) I saw everything from above and there were, instead of human armies, these alien robot-type things, like from Star Wars I guess? The leader was talking to someone, and then they shot someone, but didn't actually kill him; they only buried him in the mud up to his neck. I was thinking that this would be extremely uncomfortable, and hoping someone would get him out. They shot another person and the same thing happened; this soldier, though, just effortlessly scrambled out of the hole and onto his feet.
Then we were all in this strange huge building place, brightly colored and yellow, and I was climbing on something and... it was weird. This orange appeared in my hands though, and I realized that it was a real orange, and I started to feel like I was waking up. I was so happy and smelled and ate the orange to help me wake up, and said goodbye to everyone and said that this wasn't real.
I think I woke up to another dream, because I remember being on YouTube and finding out that my dream was actually a Studio C video over an hour long. There were very few comments; I watched through it, matching some scenes with my own memories, trying to identify the characters - I remember seeing Mallory at least - and finding a new scene with Mallory, as I said, in the night in a big city, worried and I think she had a baby. Soon after, I woke up.
Like all of the dreams I've been having lately, this one was colored. However, at least in the house, the colors were of unusual brightness, and I remember almost painful bright orange and yellow.

Here is another, fairly coherent but very strange dream (and by the way, the names, Mario and Lumalee and all, those are nicknames for our cousins and my sister)

We were at Mario, Polari, and Lumalee's, but their house was entirely different and like no house I've been to before. There was a part outside which I don't remember; it was in a sunny yard. Then we went inside and were practicing closing doors by certain motions or actions. It was totally normal to us, though I don't think we had done it before.
There was one of these actions which Willowpaw was best at, laughing I guess; I was thinking of what other things a girl might be able to do, and I tried smiling widely and fluttering my eyelashes (blinking repeatedly) and it worked; the open door swung closed without my touching it. To do this I would sort of lean up against part of the wall next to the door.
So we continued practicing for a while, and people kept leaving this one door (between the kitchen and living room, though later it changed to be between the living room and, um, another living room) open and I would close it happily. I was thinking of other things I might try. Then I was helping Mario figure out how a boy would close doors, so we looked in the guidebook and all there was for boys, was these weird potion recipes and some sort of dragon challenge. He was disappointed, so I suggested just clenching his fist or something at the door; I demonstrated, and it actually worked for me, and very well.
Then suddenly we were all in a small TV room, on a couch, watching a show with Mario, Polari, and Lumalee in it. It was a strange show, very blurry, and there was a scoreboard; the family was doing some kind of challenge, and Mario almost won and was begging for his score to be adjusted. None of the real people offered any explanation or found this strange in any way.
The family then went inside and started eating; there was a grandma with curly gray hair who was sitting very straight, and she had this empty high chair beside her, and I somehow knew that her son had been kidnapped or killed or something and she was in denial or angry/sad about it. I was thinking that the actor was good, to make her face look quietly sad.
The mother asked her what she wanted, and she said, stiffly, "We will have - a little, thank - you." She was served and maybe someone asked her to take more or something, because she had a knife and there was a small rubber chicken on her plate, and she said something like, "Do you want to see me (handle? Something like that) this? Because if (thing she didn't want to do), then there will be more (repeat of "handle" something)ing." This had something to do with her son; no one wanted her to do it; the mood was tense. Then it zoomed in on her eyes, which filled with brown tears; I found this normal. I think I woke up then.
There was also a part where Mario, Polari, and Lumalee were sitting at a white sunny kitchen table with their babysitter, and so was I and maybe Willow, and they were talking about how long the babysitter was to stay, whether she'd leave soon or stay until the next morning. They begged her to stay longer, and she agreed, and they were talking about supper; I was sad because I guess we had to leave sooner than that. Then my uncle said "Nostalgia,” apparently referring to having a babysitter or something, and I was thinking that I was nostalgic for something that hadn't even passed yet.

I have a lot more, but I won't make this comment even longer

I had a nice dream today.

We went on a school trip. I'm not sure who "We" were, but there were many people from school there. It was super dark and it was night and there were secret monsters hiding in the darkness. I knew one of my school bullies was a night monster, but i wasn't going to accuse him until i had proof. We went to many places. One was a box factory. Later there was a forest. Then there was a power station that was flooding and we had to get out quickly before the electricity connected with the water. We escaped the building into a car park outside. The electricity was running through all the metal things, including the exterior fence which had barbed wire too. The bully turned into a night monster and tried to murder us but he didn't know that the dream was lucid and i telekinesis'd him through the electric barbed fence. Multiple times. Eventually i thought "Hey, i'm like Sans from Undertale!" so i slammed the monster into the ground, impaled him on many bones, and said "get dunked on!!!!". Usually bad guys don't die in my dreams, but today he did. Next i tried to raise the sun to make it day so no more night monsters would attack us, but i missed and raised the moon instead. Oh well.

I woke up from a pretty interesting dream this morning, so I might as well share it with you all.

My family had decided to leave our home and travel to a new home, somewhere akin to paradise on Earth. To me, there could be a comparison to the Undying Lands of Tolkien. So, we packed up a few things, mostly clothing and a few personal items and left. We arrived at a small inlet, somewhere in a large forest, where we found a couple of other people getting into a large row boat. Together, we piloted the boat through a river in the forest, although it had no current. As we kept going, the trees began to change from a deciduous forest to a tropical one, with thick underbrush appearing beneath the canopy. The first stop on the boat was the one for my family, and once we got off of the boat, the travelers continued onward. A brief trek through the undergrowth led us to a small two story house, somewhat like a cabin. Once all of us were inside, the rules of this land were explained a little more to me. First, once you arrive, you cannot leave or at least you aren't supposed to leave. Second, anything you want, you can have, although it wasn't so much as *poof* here's your things, than you were more likely to obtain the things you want. Third, you shouldn't go exploring. While the rest of my family seemed to be ok with these terms, I was a bit disappointed. Despite all of the nice things this world offered, it felt too limiting.

And so, I eventually convinced the rest of my family to go exploring with me, through the woods. We went cautiously, and often they told me to turn back, but all were silent once we found a magnificent waterfall within the woods. Water cascaded over a stony ledge into a deep pool that never seemed to overflow. We probably would have stayed there longer, if not for the generic RPG bandits. There was a pack of them, all charging towards us, and as they did so, health bars and levels appeared before my eyes, and I could see this was nothing more than a game. Now that I could see what was happening, I directed my family on how to handle the lower level bandits as I went after their boss. I charged across the battlefield towards him, his level much higher than my puny level 1. I can't remember how the fight went (I believe there was a massive amount of cheesing some systems), but I defeated him. After collecting his loot, I went back to help my family, and the dream ended.

The strange part about it (other than the sudden genre flip at the end) was that I feel like I was supposed to take some sort of message from this dream, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Okay so I actually woke up terrified today, which doesn't happen often for me. Basically I dreamed that I was in the shower, but the reflection in the mirror...
Basically it was the bathroom but with the lights off and there was this guy who looked like a plague doctor and was holding two knives. He seemed to move to a different location every single time I blinked. I remember that I screamed a bunch and some of my family got the door open but none of them could see what I was seeing in the mirror and they thought I was crazy. I'm actually scared to go take a shower now...

The best dreams I have are about stealing things. I love stealing things in my dreams. Sneak into osmeone's house with bag and shovel everything on a counter into bag and slip out undetected! There have been many times where I find items I really like in dreams and grp them so hard that when I wake up my hand is in that grip, but there's no object. Then I get disapointed.

Also for some reason Larry the cable guy was doing stand up in our church. Somehow someone managed to make a big enough fuss about the stolen gallons of milk that he started talking about it. I remember that every time my mom tried to defend herself she just dug herself a bigger hole. It was pretty hilarious.

Oh and he was a friend of mine. and I stole a bunch of WiiU games on his possession.
