    Trenjeska Yeah, You!

Game had access violation on startup immediatly after fresh install (gog-7 version 1.0.5)
    Running on Windows 7 x64
After setting the executables to start as administrator it crashed after about 30 seconds (as seen in log)

    EDIT:
    system specs:
64 bit cpu (AMD Phenom II 905e)
    12 GB RAM
    Video Ati Radeon HD4850 512MB
    All HD are SAS drives

Hi there, are you using the 32-bit or normal version?

  3. Trenjeska

    Trenjeska Yeah, You!

The log said it is loading the "Client Version 1.0.5 (windows x86_64)" so yes 64 bit

    Edit:
Want me to try and force load the 32 bit version?

Does the 32-bit version dosn't work or why do you say force load?
If you haven't encountered issues with 32-bit, please try to use this version.

    Trenjeska Yeah, You!

Force load: going onto the win32 folder and start starbound.exe there; using the startmenu icons always loads the 64-bit version through the launcher (Games\GOG\Starbound\Launcher.exe)

But yes the 32-bit version loads!!!!,
but still weird that the 64-bit version doesn't and crashes with an access violation

Can the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version communicate? (as in multiplayer is allowed between them and save games are compatible between versions?)

It only affects the way how the game actually calculates stuff.

So yes, you can still play on 64-bit servers.
    Savegames are also compatible.

If you have no more issues,
have fun with the game! :)

They should, I don't see a reason why not.
