Oh, that's bad, laptops (especially low-to-mid-range ones) have official sets of instructions on how to take it apart completely without breaking anything (we don't need that, though)
Anyway, most laptops have small hatch underneath it, that's easy to take off (usually bolted) and only things it hides (that can me taken off almost immideately after taking off the hatch) are HDD, RAM and some way take off disk drive.
PS Also there's maybe some information about your laptop under the battery (or on the battery) or under said hatch ( https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/565/ at least you can find motherboard model and battery model that way). BTW, aren't there sticker with all the information about the laptop? But I suppose it already wore off
PPS another idea is launch some kind of donation program and give your laptop to specialist (or maybe even buy new one if donation will be really successful )

 

oh no... I could never ask for such a thing, no matter how tempting the idea could be, to me it would feel... Wrong... Kinda hard to say why exactly but its like asking for something in not entitled to as well as something i don't deserve from others, even I it was someone offering the opportunity out of pure kindness and good will, it still feels wrong to accept their gift I don't deserve but at the same time I would be torn by gratefully declining as it would also feel rude to turn them down.

a... 'kind' idea but it would just feel wrong so I'm more then happy to work towards a replacement on my own, sorry about that, ^^;

 

that was the original thought I had due to how the power brick of the charger was acting with its slow blinking light when plugged into the laptop but after trying another charge cable for the same brand of laptop(just a current model) there was still no response and unfortunately I cant bypass the battery like some other brands can and simply run it off just the charge cable with the battery taken out, which leaves two options, {A} find and replace the battery, or {B} find a suitable Replacement Laptop and salvage the HDD, both may take considerable time due to... Ahh "lack of work" shall we say... Erraaahahaha ^^; don't worry I'll figure something out.

 

You guys should really think about using Github for your project, that way its always safe and you can literally work on it from anywhere

Hello there Drilax (and anyone else reading), I heard about what happened to your laptop, wich is a shame, but what if I could say that it isn't too late to recover your old files, except if I'm too late, wich could be the case because I haven't been active on these forums a long time, but just to note that if you still have your laptop somewhere, then you can just (if you're not going to use it anymore), remove the hard drive carefully, and plug it into a hard drive reader (just as an example for a hard drive reader http://goo.gl/DqI8Zk), I hope this can help the cause, good luck with your mod even though this didn't help

iv been heard this alot, its just a matter of time before anything happens and untill then I'm hanging onto those files.

also, the mod isn't designed to be a primary weapon source, sure enough you can find stronger and/or better random generated base weapons but they are "unique", that I untill I can and figure out how to add in my own random stat generated weapons, of course only once in able to work on the mod again ^^;

Been Making a good list of plans and hand drawn very rough sketches of ideas to make once I can finally continue my work, I have found a really good sprite drawing app for my mobile device, cant quite copy/paste or color shift, but awesome to use with animation capability's and gif file exporting...

there will probably be a few more starbound updates before im able to start playing around with the coding again, iv had Zancuno keep me informed of the changes across updates, but sure if and when I do i'll besure to take you up on the offer. ^^

woah thats way bigger then i expected... x-x

but i thought i might share a bit of a teaser and im sure everyone knows what this is... with out looking at the weapon list on the first page of the discussion topic... cheaters...
anyhow, this is also a comparison scale for the Shotgun, Top Left; Gen1, Top Right; Gen2, Bottom Left; Gen3, Bottom Right; Gen4, as obvious the size went from small to big like every weapon did at the time of the Gen2 overhaul while some things where shrunk a little with the Gen3 recoloring which also made visible differences to the weapons and reduced most to a more basic design... the result is well... a much smaller new version of the Razor, as evident by the provided size comparison squares (the red square = Gen4)... and the more i look at the more i have to say it does looks like a rather badass double barrel...


another weapon using this new design which iv started adopting is the Vortex; Xeno Railgun, unlike previous Railgun weapon types, which will no longer pierce walls with long range projectiles, this one will, with a much wider beam, oh and that laser beam under the end barrel, that's not actually there and only appears when its being held in hand.


the Hub World (dungeon) is still a work in progress, totally should have had it done by now but friggen background tiles >-< and what not... anyhow there's a few custom decor that you will beable to find on the ship, one example is the Heavy Forge and Heavy Display, im still adding to the animations but at the moment the display screen has 60 frames x-x and flickers between the Xeno railgun and the New Binary Rifle which acts pretty similar but has an animated body instead of a static body.

These can be used and take place of the standard Armoury Forge which players are able to make, these will not be obtainable, sorry, the Heavy Forge "will make" random things from the mod, such as gun parts or even guns in its animation cycles, it does work the same as the normal forge you guys can make but in addition to this its the only forge that will make special weapons, such as the Xeno Railgun or hyper cannon which is no longer in the standard forge list, the Display also works like the forge but will only list all heavy/big type weapons.
