    "Light travels at an immense speed, and darkness acts the same way, being the absence of it, giving the war between dark and light equal. However, the casting of a shadow is "faster" than the two as it's effects are immediate, which is the disadvantage for light. Light shines through the darkness, but blot out the light, and darkness entails."

    Welcome to Aliquam, Kibi-star sector exa T-1280, one of the few solar systems that has a neighboring black-stared solar system. The red-sun shines down on the city today with no clouds in sight and rather low winds. With the temperate weather, it's a good day to be outside, which is--like most days--exactly what it seems everyone might be doing in the city today.

    @Arra @DustyScabbard
    Today is just another day working as the replacement law enforcement in the town, whether you like it or not. Most other in the Amalga dislike this greatly, as guard duty really isn't as interesting as fighting against the midnight, or even that twilight cult. Briefing just ended recently, and you are now exiting the city's police HQ. Most of it was talk about crime rates and the condition of neighboring planets; it seems that some units might be getting relocated soon... There are quite a few other Amalga to talk with, or you could go ahead and patrol the city, maybe stop somewhere on the way.

    @WarSarah @MilkCalf
    Today is just as normal of a day for you as any other. You find yourself... (You can decide where your character is currently and if they are with friends or not. If you don't know and want me to pick, then just say so briefly.)

    @TechnoCupcake
    You've made it to the city. It's rather pact, so doing anything illegal might be ill advised unless it's somewhere very secluded. You could also look around the city and see what it has to offer. Maybe plan a little bit on which places you could "visit" when the sun is out and most the pedestrians aren't.

    Tachyon looks around, observing all he can. He hasn't been awake in a long time, and really is just starting to learn the nuances of this epoch, he mumbles to himself

    " Human hands are unfit for this duty, so I give you new ones. "

    Bevery sat on a bench outside of the book store she had just left. Next to her was a bag filled with a few books she had just bought, and one in her hands. It was something about the darkness, but she seemed more interested if it contained any actual scientific facts on it."No...I don't want to hear about how you lost your lover to the Midnight..."She mumbled to herself, furiously flipping through pages.

    Snab sipped his coffee and eyed his laptop. It was usual for him to sit at a cafe and browse the internet, but he wasn't interrested of cute animals. After he had skimmed trough numerous job applications he checked a criminal database. Not finding anything interresting Snab set out to wander the streets.

    Dusty scoffs as he steps into the daylight, having wasted another day on this worthless planet, instead of on the front lines, fighting the Midnight. While the monks of the monastery may have had their reasons, Dusty could only wonder at why the Amalga forces decided not to keep a full assault on a galaxy wide threat at all times. With the talk of changing stations among the others, maybe his application transfer wouldn't be rejected this time. The thought of being denied again made his brown striped tail twitch back and forth. With nothing better to do, Dusty makes his way to his patrol route by climbing the nearest building, as taking the rooftops would be the quickest route.

    Had Snab wandered past the bookstore next to the cafe, he would of caught Bevery's rather loud mumbling about how the book was terrible. He would of also seen Bevery launch the book into the trashcan nearby and begin skimming the next book.

    Myrria sighs at the sight of the amount of people in the city. As she pushes past anyone who is in her path, she looks around for any stores that might be worth noting for the future, such as clothing shops or smaller shops that would be easier to steal from, especially without anyone noticing her whilst she's doing so. With her knowledge of how to somewhat live off the land, she isn't too concerned about nourishment, but she keeps an eye out for shops with food and/or water as well. At the moment, however, her main priority is finding a place to get/steal a hooded jacket and a cloth to cover most of her face so she will not be identified whilst committing crimes.

    It seems this era, or at least this planet, might be a little more advanced than you last remember, but probably not by much. Looking around, you see that holograms are very prevalent in the commercial zones on this planet. Advertisement billboards, store signs; holograms. Heck, even the briefing just a moment ago was a holographic projection a majority of the time.
    You feel someone teasingly punch your arm as they walk by. "You seem a bit lost!" It's male human. He's also apart of the Amalga. Jeffery, wasn't it?
    Finally! A book more informative with much less of the unwanted short story telling. It's uncreatively titled The Midnight: Biomes, Planets, and Stars. A few pages in, it starts off with pretty basic, well known information about the midnight and what naturally lived there prior to the calamity.
    Snab finds himself in the commercial zones of the city. There's a plentiful amount of stores, restaurants, and entertainment around, along with people. Lots and lots of people, maybe even too many... It's a bit mind numbing with the amount of noise they all collectively create. Especially this one dark-blue haired female who seems to be talking to herself in front of a library. Weirdo...
    After going down an ally and finding an easy way to reach the roof, Dusty can easily start making his way towards his patrol since the buildings were constructed so close to each other. Unfortunately, it seems like today might be another uneventful day. With the amount of action, or better yet, the lack of action in this city, it seems almost idiotic that there are even any Amalga units stationed in this city if it weren't for the fact it borders a midnight planet and solar system...
    It's a little difficult, as this city is pretty jammed packed with it's stores and what not, most being easily seen to really attract it's customers. However, you find one store of interest that is a bit small, pretty secluded and tucked away from the other stores. Best of all, it's a clothing store, so more than likely they'll have some sort "robber attire." It doesn't look very busy right now.

    Myrria looks around to check of there are any authorities that could see her. Seeing that the coast seems clear, she then observes the crowd carefully, watching mainly the pockets of those who are walking by for any signs of a tucked away container of any kind carrying currency, like a wallet or pouch. After looking for a not too long, she finds someone that she could try to pickpocket and starts moving towards them from behind, pretending to be paying attention to something else. She then bumps into them, using that short time of contact to reach into the pocket and attempt to snag whatever may be inside, "Oh-! I'm so sorry- I wasn't paying attention. My bad." She fakes a sheepish smile and rubs the back of her neck with the hand she attempted pick pocketing with to hide it.

    Easy pickings. You nabbed a wallet from a male floran. He staggered a bit when you bumped into him before he'd quickly look at you...

    ... and gives you a quick once-over, seeming very annoyed. "Watch where you're going..." He retorts caustically before looking away and continuing on his way.

    "Eh-heh..." Myrria says as he leaves before her sheepish smile and facade quickly fade, "Tch, what an idiot." She mutters to herself after he's gone. She slips the wallet into her knapsack before continuing to walk along, pleased with her pickings, though she knows she hasn't checked the amount in it yet. Myrria walks into the small, secluded clothing store to check out what they have, as well as to check the wallet. She takes it out of her knapsack and looks through it casually to seem like anyone who is checking their funds.

    Traveling across the rooftops was much faster that down below, where things like people would get in the way of his path. Dusty kept moving at a moderate pace, one that would keep him moving quickly, but wouldn't tire him out by the time he arrived. As he leaped across a narrow gap to land on top of a local bookstore, he heard an audible *thunk*. Taking a few seconds to determine the sound didn't come from his landing, Dusty peered over the side of the building to see a book lying open on the ground next to a trashcan, a few of it's pages lazily floating in the air thanks to the light breeze. Turning his head, he saw a woman sitting on a bench, intently reading from a different book. Dusty's curiosity got the better of him, and he swung his legs over the roof's edge, now trying to make out the title on the book's cover.

    Said woman had just closed the book with a sigh, rubbing her chin. The cover was...rather dull, in all black. In bold white letters, it read "The Midnight". There was a slightly less intelligible writing underneath it, possibly a subtitle of sorts. She dug through her bag of books for a new one, quickly flipping through this one as well."No..I want advanced information.Calculations..."She grunted to herself.

    After searching the store a little bit, you come across a dark grey hoodie and find a green camouflage bandana that could act as a cloth to cover her face. In the wallet is the Floran's ID: Paskal Euclid. There's a few pictures and a small pixel codec. Normally, you wouldn't be able to use this unless you had practically stole Paskal's identity, but hacking the card is another option; You could contact one of the other Rough Fighter members that is experienced in hacking at a payphone to do it for you, or you could make the attempt to do it yourself, but it is a very difficult and complex task...
    He shrugs a little before replying with, "Living the dream. Just heading on to my patrol route. I get to stakeout later tonight. Can't wait..." He seems to be pretty sarcastic before he continues on his way. You could follow him and keep chatting with him a bit; that might be something worth doing to pass the time.

    She doesn't seem to notice you are there. Looking down at the book you think you might be able to...
    < PERCEPTION SUCCESS >
    Yes. You are able to read it from here. It says "The Midnight".

    < SPOT VS SNEAK FAILED >
    You felt like you were being watched for a moment, but when looking around, you can't seem to find anyone looking at you... Oh well...

    It seems to be a recurring theme with all the books she've read so far: There's simply not a whole lot of information on the subject. Mostly theories and controversial subjects on it. However, this new book did shed some light on an something interesting; it talks about in a midnight strike against another planet, a small, meteor-like object crash lands on the planet before a midnight biome starts to form around said object. This "meteor" is actually an egg that houses a very strong being, and during this state, all subjects of the newly formed midnight biome will do what they can to protect this egg in it's very vulnerable state, as the death, in layman's terms, of the meteor-egg is the death of the midnight biome. It claims the information was a gathered from a leak from some group that goes by S.A.M.

    Myrria considers hacking the card herself for a second, since she doesn't want to bother asking someone else, but she quickly dismisses the thought. She would try it herself, but she knows that she doesn't have the skill to do so. "Hm." She says as she looks at the hoodie and bandanna. After looking for a few seconds, she grabs them and goes to the counter to pay. Whilst waiting for the cashier to calculate the price, she takes a look at the photos in the wallet out of boredom.
