Yeah that's the idea. I hope to have sort of an alpha version of it out sometime soon, but I'm pretty busy with work as well.

 

Trying to remain somewhat in the veil while still keeping down on the Alt-tabbing.. about how many "spoiler-ey" items are listed as gifts in the game?

 

I think most are common food items, so probably not many. But if you're already alt-tabbing to the wiki to look them up then you won't be seeing anything you haven't before.

I really like this mod, it makes gift giving for birthdays so easy! I was wondering, is it possible to add them to the social menu as well? Like, to hover over people on the social window and get the same results as the calendar?

 

Is there any way to hide the items until you give the right items to a person?

 

I'd love this feature too. Understand if it's too hard/just not doable.

I've been using this mod for quite some time, but when the Winter season came, SMAPI (I use the current version) would quit on its own (which quits the entire game, basically) whenever I view the calendar and hover over the birthdays. It kept going until I finally removed this mod from the mod folder. I'll have to check if adding it again would crash the entire game, but if it will continue to do so, I hope there'll be some kind of bug fix.

 

Now I have to stop switching to the wiki on reflex... Love this mod!

i would love if the gift info would show up on the social tab as well -- not because i want to check all the time without the calendar, but because that would let us check villagers that don't have a birthday in the current season.

In case anyone is wondering, I have reinstalled this on SDV 1.1 update and I do not have any trouble with this. Works like a charm!

I have not had a problem with the smapi version. I also use calender anywhere and it continues to work well with that.

 

Good to know this works with current smapi + calender anywhere they are sorta life savors for me. If I run into any issues I will report here. Thanks for the great mod.
