My expression when I think about Undertale: (I think about pacifist... then genocide run. ) And why we can't date flowey? And one last before go to work...
If hardcore mode is ever implemented, what do you think the story will be about? Most importantly, i want Asriel to have a good ending. I have several ideas for how the game could change for hardcore mode. The line between Frisk and Chara would be intentionally blurred further. Lots of characters would mention that Frisk looks familiar, but not know why. Perhaps Asgore might recognise them at the end of the game. A possible explanation for Chara's prescence could be that their soul was disturbed when Asriel was 'resurrected' because Chara's soul was part of Asriel. The storyline for Hardmode could be that Chara wants to leave for the afterlife, but they can't without asriel, who is Flowey at this time. For pacifist mode, maybe it could be made harder by having the player compete with Chara's desire to murder. As the game progresses, this aspect of the game could become easier, to represent Chara's spirit starting to agree with Frisk's pacifism. For genocide mode, maybe Sans would be missing throughout the entire game, even from the first meeting. Maybe he'd stalk the player like flowey. He'd still be mentioned by papyrus, but would not appear until the end of the game. Frisk would react confused at moments when Sans should-but-doesn't appear. At the end, in the judgement corridor, something involving Gaster would happen. Sans might think of a way to save Gaster, but it goes wrong and Frisk has to battle Gaster's corrupted form. The neutral ending could involve Frisk/Chara killing or persuading Flowey to enter the afterlife with them. The Pacifist ending could be the same, but the barrier is also destroyed. The Genocide ending could be another erasing - perhaps Chara decides it's time to stop and erases themself, along with the game. Perhaps a final secret could be revealed that Flowey intentionally revived Chara himself with the belief that it would bring his soul back.
I agree with literally every single point on here, hardmode should actually be implemented, it would make the game more fun and interesting, although with all this content you suggested I would be lead to believe that the hardmode gameplay would be bought in a DLC.
