Steam sale date has been leaked by Paypal inadvertently for Dec 22.
With that said hundreds of millions of dollars are going to be spent on games during the sale..

What games do you recommend to others to get over the sale?
[ Note it doesn't need to be on Steam ]
    My personal recommendations;

    For Story \ Adventure Lovers;
    Co-Op Games
    Strategy

Well that is my Basic list.
What about you guys? What are your recommendations to others to get over winter sale?

Here are my current recommendations, based on what I've been playing lately.

    1. Fallout 4
    2. Fallout 4
    3. Fallout 4
    4. Fallout 4
    5. Fallout 4

I have no clue if these will go on sale or not, but I highly recommend them!

    Dungeon Crawlers:
    Binding Of Isaac - http://store.steampowered..com/app/113200
    Old school style dungeon crawler

Binding Of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb - http://store.steampowered.com/app/113204/
    Adds massive content to BOI

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - http://store.steampowered.com/app/250900
A reboot of Binding of Isaac, tons of new items and newer graphics

Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth - http://store.steampowered.com/app/401920/
Similar to the Wrath of the Lamb dlc, adds a massive amount of content to Afterbirth

    Platformers:
    Super Meat Boy - http://store.steampowered.com/app/40800
A frustrating but older platformer, made by the same guy who made Binding of Isaac

    Action/RPG:
    State of Decay - http://store.steampowered.com/app/241540
A fairly open-world zombie game. Build settlements, set up trade routes, etc. Fun stuff!

    Multiplayer/Play against your friends:
    The Ship - http://store.steampowered.com/app/2400
Play against your friends or other people online and try to kill each other for high scores

I'll try to add more as I think of them :)

Unfortunately my plan to buy fallout 4 will only be when all the DLC release.
So I can just buy it as a single game instead of buying 4+

Would be tempting if I had a PS4 or a PC that could run it lol.

Nearly being the one to break the mod chain to toss in a couple I like a lot.

One Way Heroics - Starts at $3.49 and usually goes on sale for 89 cents.
OWH is a roguelite game where you play as a hero whose world is being consumed by darkness and is sent by the king to defeat the Demon Lord while the darkness creeps up on you from the left side of the screen. As you go along, you have to find equipment and items, manage your inventory weight, eat food to keep your energy up, and of course, fight monsters. But if you die, that's it, time to make a new character. You do unlock new classes and perks as you go on, so that's in your favor!
The expansion, One Way Heroics Plus, is also on Steam now for $6.49. No clue what Winter sale price will be, though. But if you enjoy the base game, I definitely recommend it!

100% Orange Juice - Starts at $6.99 ($15 for 4-pack) and usually goes to $2.37 on sale (about $5 for 4-pack).
100% Orange Juice is a board game type game made as a 5th anniversary celebration for doujin game developer Orange_Juice. It's a super fun game to play with friends once you get the hang of it, since it's kinda weird to play at first. It's a bit much to explain right here, aha. There's a demo you can try out, though.
There's also DLC to add new characters and a set of new cards. The characters are unique and pretty well balanced for the most part, so they're a lot of fun!

Mine would be as varied as this, based on what I play now - just switch from Fallout part to the "Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth" series ...

    Ruin Existential Complex

I second this notion. All glory to Nepnep.

If you're a fan of self-aware, cutesy animu games, then Neptunia is for you! Be warned that Re;Birth2 is the weakest of the series.
    Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 - $5.99
    Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sister's Generation - $8.99
    Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation - $11.99

If you like Neptunia, try out Fairy Fencer F. Same developer, same publisher, same general humor, gameplay, and art style.
    Fairy Fencer F - $8.99

    Other picks:
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - $6.79
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - $8.49
    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - $9.99

    Fallout 3 - $6.79
    Fallout: New Vegas - $6.79

    Torchlight - $7.49
    Torchlight II $9.99

    Terraria - $3.39
Starbound - $10.04 (Have you guys heard of this new game? Wow, it's so phresh.)

    Mount Your Friends - $2.49

I've been having a lot of fun with Don't Starve Together. It's still in beta and I don't think it's on sale, but you get two copies for the price of one. Mine was gifted to me by my son when he bought his copy.

  10. Cyber-Toast

    Cyber-Toast Big Damn Hero

    Multiplayer:
Don't starve together (only if you have a friend to play with)
Overwatch (the game is not out but I tested the beta, it's a great game)
    Solo:
Another Metroid 2 remake (free and amazing)
Kerbal Space program (If you like to kill astonauts :))

I'm not convinced KSP would run on my PC, else I would definitely buy it.
