No unique name for this update? I feel like it should have one considering the amount of things that got added.
How rather interesting. Oh, and I believe it maintains the codename 'Spirited Giraffe'. So the giraffe is not just upbeat, but spirited.
Oh nice, now if I ever run out of space I'll just turn a barren planet into an extremely oversized storage.
Thanks for your work specially on the server software. With more stability around multiplayer, levels of fun that were never possible before will be achieved!
Hmm, Now this is impressive. Is it still compatible with other mods that already in Upbeat Giraffe? Sorry for double post: The site got messed up by Dreadwing.
I still have reservations about logging out leaving you where you are. I understand that it makes sense in game but there should be an in game solution to get back to the surface / your ship quickly that doesn't involve using admin commands or electing to die. I'm not in favor of spending 10+ minutes climbing out from the core of a planet or leaving teleporters on EVERY planet I visit... UNLESS the teleporters are 1) not expensive and 2) not required to be registered.
Whooo! Stable update!... And the site is back up again! I bet it was the space penguins. Damn space penguins.
There's also the fact that you only get to keep the teleport core, so any resources used to craft the teleporter will be lost. I don't think I'm personally too fond that you don't start back on your ship. I mean it makes sense on paper, but say you're near a planet's core. Who wants to spend upwards of 20-30 minutes every time their inventory is full to get back up to their ship? They could at least put in a consumable item you can use to beam yourself to your ship.
I think the only major change not mentioned is: All planets now have a maximum of 1 dungeon on them, down from 2. (Dungeons are any large unique encounter like Avian Airships, villages, Apex labs, etc.)
Well, when the game started up it just crashed. I deleted my Starbound folder and re-installed it, yet it did the same thing. Any advice?
Any mods you had from the previous Stable Update? If so, delete your mods one by one. If not, Post your Starbound.log.
I welcome the change. It was never intended to have logging in and out be a shortcut to the surface. It means people will need to prepare before delving into the unknown depths. It gives exploring more purpose, and building underground camps far more purpose. That's just my opinion though. Open a thread on the support forum if you're having issues after following his advice. It's better to keep support questions out of the update threads xD.
