Yes, that is how we originally met. I was a ssientist, and fled from my peopl bekaus of som rather... limiting regulations. I met a very unusual being kalled Ezvrael and he introdused her to me. I ended up as an Ateros while studying a sampl of her nanites, or rather the Ateros absorbed me and we bekame one over time, much like you.

 

Ah...that explains things, then. Though...were you organic? Are Wryb's nanites capable of assimilating organic matter, then? That's...mildly worrisome.

 

They ar not. I admit I was rather hasty in my attempts to modify them - the result being a very slow and somewhat painful tansformation.

Ouch. I'm kinda glad mine was fairly quick. Albeit unpleasant, if only because my internals flipped the fuck out.

 

The pain I kould deal with - it was losing myself to this mekhanikal being that was the most awful, but now I am quite happy with the result. Ybbndagg brought some very interesting insight that I previously lakked.
