// that is true, though its only really applicable if you're part of the RP as quite a few of the chars are non-canon with the official Avali lore. so the wiki wont be a good place for it.
// though i still want to see you idea for a char sheet!

Eh. There's not much to show of it without a demo profile put together.

Keep in mind I'm meaning a profile box that summarizes the character, not a fancy-ass tabletop-style character sheet or anything (though I've done those on googledocs before too).

See, my thoughts are that the profile box sums up the basics - name, maybe a defining quote from (or about) the character, callsign, ship, titles, faction affiliation, age, and basics. You can then expand on the information in the rest of their profile page under headers.

Anyways, I made a mockup profile using Google Docs, to show how a wiki-profile might look (albeit this isn't as fancy as the final version would be). Obviously the type of headers on the main document could vary (others may prefer to write in a different order, for example) but this is how I've written a couple of profiles.

// yeah. i am also thinking of adding a sort of "skill" system. like some people might know how to do really weird things, but be unable to do simpler things.
// some someone might know how to shutoff an AI, but has no idea how to handle a gun.
// that and a sort of scale system, very close to DnD. like:
    strength x/20
    agility x/20
    ranged weapons: x/20
    melee weapons: x/20
    piloting: x/20
    etc.

  11. I didn't let anybody in I've just been playing tiger flanking simulator 2015 War Thunder

// this is quite cool, i have invited you to the two currently used char-related convos, my chars on the main one (the one by Featherdust) is a bit lacking and i have been re-writing them to fit better and explain and describe more.

  16. You seem awfully paranoid. I recommend either more or less medication.

I find the best way to do it is to not tell too much. It can be easy to write rambling, exhaustive character profiles with lots of tiny technical details, especially if you're worried that you may seem like you're pulling things out of your ass at an opportune moment. You can blend things like personality and combat style into other descriptive chunks; describing how they carry themselves and how they interact with others can give a good grasp of someone's personality.

The problem with lots of tiny technical details is that, combined, they can begin to expose flaws. I leave the exact capabilities of Landren's shell and drones and the exact nature of his teleoperations gear vague because I lack the knowledge to make informed decisions about how he might run his operations, and it allows me to conveniently cover any glaring weaknesses I might otherwise accidentally introduce by trying to explain things too thoroughly.
