What's with artists and their HUGE canvases? Are yall compensating for something?

Usually they use a big canvas for quality of the drawing and then will just resize it but since the forum auto resizes it I guess they don't bother. If you open it in a new tab your browser should resize it to an acceptable viewing size.

Or they could post the pictures as a thumbnail and you can click to enlarge them and the forum will do the rest.

But when I quote them, no matter what happens, the pictures explodes in my face. I mean seriously, I didn't even want to see them, they just explode in my face for no raisin.
