It honestly just looks like someone splattered paint over your head. I personally love the colors, though it messed up your pattern a bit. But still, it's cool and unique, and I'm honestly a little jealous.

Even though people seem to like my stripes.

Well the stripes do work for you, black and white too so it works perfectly.
You don't need bright colors to look nice.

I was referring to my avali's stripes but...

 

Y'know with all the feather-related discussion going on, I got to thinking...

Why do Avali even have feathers? I mean, from a biological point of view. They don't fly, and more fur would make a better insulator... 'Course, I don't know a lot about anatomy, so there's probably some fancy-dancy biometaorganidoozle or some other nonsense to explain it.
I have no idea what a biometaorganidoozle's supposed to be, either...

 

They do fly. Kinda. They almost started to before they developed society and that removed a lot of survival pressure.

Their homeworld's atmosphere is thicker than Earth normal and has lower gravity, which makes it even easier.

 

they do fly though, sorta, they can glide last I checked, besides feathers can be just as effective an insulator as fur, just look at pengiuns
