If I had to pick a favorite... It'd be a tie between the hexagrid yellow, and the purple with swirlish designs.

tl;dr. No.

The existing colours tent pieces are now colourable, and each colour also corresponds to a different pattern instead of being a simple palette swap. ie. purple is always swirls, yellow is always hexagons, "red" is always black-and-bloodspattered

Question though, will the colors on the NPC tents be randomized? Is that even possible?

 

Unfortunately not. At present there is no way to force the palette on objects generated in a dungeon, the whole palette thing seems very incomplete, almost everything has palette options, functions exist in the code to swap colours, and there are craftable dyes. But no way to use any of it.

At any rate, I spoke to omni directly and asked him if any such function existed, and he actually pulled up the starbound code live on twitch just to double check, and apparently no, there's no parameter I can use to spawn stuff pre-dyed.

 

Oh, yeah, that is a good question...
I could see different Avali settlements having specific themes, though I bet it'd be a pain in the ass to program.

Couldn't see it as being more complex to have different themes and patterns as different types of seed, that are chosen from randomly, but stick to that particular pattern.

 

The blue circuitry pattern is my favorite. (Yay circuitry!)

Oh, so I accidentally shot an avali guard, he whips out his minigun, and... starts shooting the ground near me, but not me. Someone didn't have thier sync crystals put in right... (and why am I convinced that sync crystals are pink?)

i think they're orange because avali...orange...yeah...
