It's a very fun game.
I'd strongly advise you try out Galactic Civilizations II.
There was a story I read a while ago where the AI pulled some shit so ridiculously complex that the guy playing only understood it after something else I can't remember.

A turn-based strategy game that is very fun.

 

This for some reason reminded me of this.

I wish I had that sort of animation capability. But thing is I probably will in the future. I mean two years ago my mind broke when thinking how I would feasibly make something similar to this but then just recently I got pretty close.

I haven't attempted something on the scale of the first because VX has a too limiting resolution.

I want to do more animations but I'm sick to death of VX picture commands, does anyone know of a user-friendly dedicated animation program?

Like, pan, zoom, rotate, crop, with opacity and layer support, that's all I need. Flash infuriates me because it fails to be smooth and is unpredictable in how it does fucking everything. Also it's hardly user-friendly.
