So I'm pretty sure everyone has walked by an eye biome already. I find it quite satisfying that something similar to this suggestion has been implemented into the game.

As such it would really be redundant to be suggesting a suggestion that is already ingame. I won't be updating this topic [or any topics I have] anymore because I'm inactive, but once the game is release I do plan on making a mod for it, complete with the Planet and creatures itself.
But if that plan fails, well I have better plans for it in the game industry.

If I ever do pick this back up, I might be placing them on dA.

Vis Planets, the leading source of Eye biomes. It is a planet that used to be inhabited by sentient beings, but abandoned due to the lack of resources. Eye biomes are filled with odd creatures with massive eyes. Those that drink the sap of these creatures turn into giant-eyed creatures themselves.
Vis planets are generally found usually within the 'inhabitable' area of star systems, although it is possible that they appear slightly beyond its edges too.

The plains and hills of The Expanse. Note that not all atmospheres of Vis Planets are the same.

The surface of the Vis planet consists of 3 areas. The Expanse, the Lush, and the Pinnacle. The Expanse is a vast area filled with various flora and fauna. Most, if not all, flora in this area are ivory in color, giving the planet its distinctive white tint. Most creatures here are low leveled, but are still formidable. Eyemageddons are a rarity in this area. The Lush is a dense area surrounding the Pinnacle. It is composed of dark violet plants, and are a great danger to explorers. Eyemageddons are common in this area. The Pinnacle is the densest area of the Vis Planet. The plants here are mostly Eyemageddons tangled together, creating some sort of massive natural dungeon.. that attacks. Light barely penetrates through this area, so the Pinnacle is always dark. In addition, this is where the 'elite' forms of Eye creatures lurk.

The sky of an eye planet is usually green or violet. Green sky planets are normally extremely cloudy, with long "rivers" of light that constantly move and change form. Green skies always occur in Expanses. Green skies are normally too dangerous for eye creatures and plants, but it provides a clear vision for sentient beings. However, Geyenormi scour the sky, emitting a thick mast of gas, which creates the clouds, that greatly weaken the light from the parent star. The Geyenormi are home to Fleyers, which live mutually with the Geyenormi by feeding it some prey. Violet skies are dark and fully cloudy. An average human can stare at it for hours and not have eye cancer. They always occur in the Lush and the Pinnacle. It is not dangerous for eye creatures, and it actually provides better sight for them. Violet skies have a slightly higher chance of assimilating.

Those who court death... find it.
Vis planets are inhabited by nothing more than creatures and plants with massive eyes. Their giant eyes aren't just giant. They are also enhanced with the power to see though a farther distance, and have a wider sight than most creatures. Instinctively, these creatures 'assimilate' other creatures into joining their ranks, and they themselves gain large eyes [or more eyes] of their own, with a limited control to their own movements.

However, this isn't limited to creatures. Plants are the main sources of these eyes, which are actually the 'brain' of the creatures, plants, and everything. eye plants grow on whitish grass called Gray. Grays are formed on the eye planet's rock, Retinium, which is a slippery rock made even sturdier from the roots of Eye plants and grays. It is almost impossible to mine Retinium without a powerful drill.

The Eyemageddon is a really powerful creature which acts as a 'source' of an Eye Biome. They naturally spawn in the middle of the biome itself, or in the Lush and Pinnacle of the Vis planet, rarely on the Expanse. It has four eyes, lots of tentacles, and its roots reach the corners of the biome. Eyemageddons appear to have four eyes, but they can actually see through all eye plants and animals linked to its roots. It is protected by hard shell and tough tentacles.
Eyemageddons are not to be underestimated, as they are one with the biome. Killing an Eyemageddon in a biome would result in another one spawning offscreen if the biome was left uncontrolled, given there is enough gray to spread on. Furthermore, upon spawning, the Eyemageddon will instantly spread gray within a large radius from where it spawned, turning many weaker blocks into Retinium. Building ground structures near eye biomes is not advised, as it may 'corrupt' the structures, rendering them uninhabitable or unusable.

Every planet we reach is dead.
While they have their own planets to dwell in, seeds from Vis planets can fare in space very well. They can travel millions of miles into other planets and spread in barren land. Chances are, one of these seeds are a source seed, containing a gene for an Eyemageddon. Considering the Eyemageddon's ability to spread gray within a large radius, Eyemageddons are the source of Eye Biomes. In short, in each Eye biome, there is always one Eyemageddon.

Deny salvation.
Assimilation is a very sneaky process. In fact, it is airborne. Any creature inside an Eye Biome has a very small chance of getting injected with eye seeds. If injected, after a couple of hours, there is a chance that those seeds will hatch and assimilate the body, and those chances increase slightly every minute. Upon assimilation, the victim will barely have control of themselves, and is prone to the dangers of the eye biome. They will gain random eyes sapping their life force until the victim dies, or ceases its remaining control of its own corporeal shell. Once this happens, the corpse will be the carrier of the seed, and will be sent into barren lands where the eye biome can spread. Yes, resistance really is futile, my dear.

Reward and Responsibility.
While the 'eyessimilation' process is rather brutal, Eye biomes provide rather useful resources in exchange for unfertile, barren land. Many sentient beings take advantage of this by creating biomes small enough that it wouldn't spawn dangerous creatures, but large enough to create harmless plants and creatures.
Eye biomes are excellent sources of Retinium, which can be used to create Eye gardens. It can also used as a sturdier alternative glass for scopes, eyeglasses, windows and such when refined. However, Retinium is extremely hard to mine.
Gray Sap is a viscous liquid formed from shredding grays. It is transparent and waterproof, but dangerously poisonous. It can be used for protective armor, and poisonous blades/bullets.
Eyeballs are a common loot from both plants and creatures alike. Honestly, we have no idea what you're going to use it for. They seem to explode when exposed to high amounts of yellow green light.
Eye Dye is an uncommon drop from both plants and creatures alike. It gives off an odd scent.. Somehow it reminds you of the death of the creature you killed to obtain this, and that something's watching you...
Rigid Teeth are an uncommon loot from plants and creatures, but only those with mouths. They can be used for creating sharp daggers and weapons. It can be refined as an alternative for steel.
Iridescent Tentacle is a rare loot from Eyestavs and Eyeheichus. We also have no idea what you're going to do with this. It seems to reflect red to blue light.
Eye Root is an uncommon root from mining Retinium. It has a chance of regenerating health, or poisoning the user. It can be used to create various liquids.
Eyemageddon Root is a rare loot from Eyemageddon, and can only be acquired from mining Retinium when the biome AND the Eyemageddon is destroyed. What you're going to do with this, we don't know. Are you trying to make a pet Eyelyke? [Impossible to obtain in Vis planets]
Eyekentzi's Shell is a rare loot from Eyekentzi. It is very tough, but a decent amount of pressure could break it. It can be used for upgrading melee armor.

Unfortunately, there won't be "Eye Armor" or "Eye Weapons" suggested. However, there may be 'add-ons' or 'upgrades' for weapons and armor, such as an Eye scope, Armor Padding or Eye bullets or something.

Either way, I'm quite ecstatic about it.

Surely, just because I suggested it doesn't mean anything eye biome related that pops up ingame is sure to be at the very least influenced by the suggestion itself.

And like I said, if they did take this suggestion, they would have contacted me about it. I received no such thing. Knowing the developers [and judging as to how they contacted me when they said they were to add Anodynes ingame], they would very much likely do that.

Only issue I see from this is that it ruins the ability to send coordinates to friends about 'this planet has X on it, lots of cool stuff'. Remove the spreading and make it into a just a potential world that spawns.

Ugh, like I said I won't be updating this suggestion anymore.

I will keep the spread, because that's how I envision how it would be like in the game. That is how I will be modding it once I find it feasible to do so.

Just Novakid, and the almost the same thing is the Tentacle planet.
