Notice Addressing Beta Questions

Will there ever be a gamemode in which you will be able to create your own towns and place npcs and set quests? Sort of like an adventure creator. Maybe even create your own campaigns where you can't go to the next planet without completing quests first? Starbound would be perfect for that.

 

Sorry to hear that happend >.< No on should have to be told they no longer have a job. But I'm glad you have something to get your mind off of it and enjoy yourself.

Some of that might be added later with the admin controls and questing sort of features, but either way, it's probably prime modding territory.

Will cross-plaform multiplayer be available at launch?

 

Yes. Either via client hosting, or with the dedicated server, which should also be out for all three OS's.

I want to ask again....
1. Yes, I know about the PayPal function in the Pre-Order Section
2. Yes, I have enough Money on my PayPal Account to pay for the Game....

3... and here is the Problem!!!! after I have my email specified andresse in the Pre-Order option, is my next step to click the "PayPal" button.
Now the PayPal window is open (yaaayyy) and asked me for my Emal and Password to Login in PayPal (no problem here)...
After the Login in my Account, PayPal just asked for a "Credit card", that i have to add to my PP Account....

The big problem here is following:
A: I dont have a Credit card, so i CANT add this to purchase StarBound with it!
B: I have enough money already uploaded on my PayPal account.
C: I can't choose the choice to pay with my (already) uploaded money, and PayPal just asked for a Credit Card....

For those asking about the exact moment of the release date, if it's left up to steam, they change their 24 hour deals on sales at 10:00 PST, which is 2:00 GMT (AM), so I would assume that'd be when it's enabled if left up to steam.

 

Will you be able to toggle your hunger bar?

 

I can't speak for anyone else, but if as others have said, and it's similar to Terraria, then setting up a simple server shouldn't be too much a trouble. I was able to quite literally just click Host and Play in that, and have a server going in moments, give my friends my IP and used the default Ports, and boom, was in and playing with them...Took us all of 3 minutes to blow up all the stuff though..Hah..

It'll probably be based on Steam's release times- so 1AM EST-3AM EST.

 

How long will it run for? As in the Beta itself? For that it'd be as long as it takes to finish the development through the stages they outlined. As for each stage, who knows how long, but as long as you have the game files and such, you'll be able to play it, The only online-like requirement is having to be on Steam, which as they've been improving the offline mode, isn't entirely online anymore unless you haven't been online in like...months.

Will Chucklefish ever decide to port the game over to other consoles besides the PS4 or Ouya if it becomes successful? Including Wii U and Xbox One.
