Major Flaw With The Hoverbike

Indeed you make fair point but this is set in the future so maybe it is not even possible for you to crash your hoverbike.
I think the fin on the front is purley cosmetic.

 

By the way you should checkout Dynafols youtube vids to keep you up to date and maybe look in on some Q and A answer sessions that have been held previously at first I think the whole concept of a hoverbike in Starbound was a joke until Tiy and Rue talked about it in a Q and A session.

 

Maybe the spike inflates when you crash, like an airbag. Problem solved.

 

Indeed problems like a crash could be solved just by a simple air bag not to mention any futuristic technology implamented.

The biggest flaw with the hoverbike is smashing into large trees, obviously.

I would have thought that the "breaks" would compensate for rider movement. This is the future after all.
