    A corporate update:

Mining operations have been fully implemented on Darius II at a rate of 4 tons of ore per hour. We have a good security system in place to protect from pirates and the like, and they have already proven themselves well.

Any surplus in materials may be purchased at current market rates after we have used what we need.
We are working on a list of available materials now, and will make it available after our internal audit.

    Carry on.

    Incoming Message from ElecToys...

Hello, we would like to construct a Small Office, a low security R&D facility and 2 production facilities; the first facility must be able to produce plastic construction toys, and the second will need to produce bicycles with pedal-charged LED lights. How much will this cost us?

Hi again. We have a proposition for you. In return for us bearing the full cost of security forces and paying for the mining facility, we would like you to mine all sources of platinum on the planet Seria and give us automatic top purchasing priority when selling the output. Sound good?

First toy manufacturer we have had contact with, good to meet you!

    Your order is as follows...
    1 - small office - 75k pxl
    1 - R&D low security - 800k pxl
2 - production facilities with equipment - 1.3 million pxl

    total - 2.175 million pxl

You may wire the amount to our billing department, along with the location for your buildings to be delivered. Thank you for your business!

    Hmm. Interesting proposal.
We only have a few questions on it...

    * Is there a sentient species on the planet?
    * Are there other valuable minerals on the planet?
    * What volume of platinum is on planet, if you know?
    * May we continue operations for other minerals after we have acquired all the Platinum off planet?

Aside from those questions, if you provide the security and payment for our mining facility, we would be happy to set up operations. We will in turn offer you first pick on the platinum at fair market prices.

Sounds good, but this may take an hour or two. MegaPixel Credit Union, our bank, is unable to supply us with the required loan. They are currently asking the government for more bailout funds. We will contact you immediately with delivery instructions once we are able to pay.

There are no sentient species to our knowledge. If there ARE, we will personally offer them a lift to our home planet and give them reasonable starting funds, as the planet is unsuitable for dignified sentient habitation due to pollution and invasive species. You will be given full rights to any non-platinum materials and platinum we have declined to purchase. In response to the volume of platinum and other minerals, we have included a link to a secret file which is very important to us. ((Please check your PM.)) You may continue operations for as long as you like once the platinum is harvested.

    Very good.
We also offer credit lines in house... up to 5 million pxl at 7% interest.
Let us know if we can help.

Thank you for the detailed file. Your terms are accepted. We can work out the logistics a bit later. How soon will you be ready to deploy?

We have received the funds. 2,175,000 pxl has been wired to you. Please deliver to our chosen building lots on Wyka-II.

    Incoming message from GECorp...

DesertStar already has the security personnel we paid for ready to meet you in orbit. The rest is up to you. Good luck out there.

It seems I was sorely mistaken. Go ahead as you planned, we are working with DesertStar to have the personnel to you ASAP.

TlenoTech corporation would like to inquire whther it would be possible to co-operate in a custom colonist housing development. Conventional housing construction methods aren't exactly efficient when it comes to quickly setting up a safe shelter on completely unexplored, fringe worlds with zero infrastructure. We need a universal design that would work for most environment types and would be deployable in less than 5 hours while still remaining ergonomic and cheap. What would you say about this?

Very good, we will send a constructor out with your buildings very soon. Thank you for building with us!

Very well, we are proceeding to the location with a constructor and two freighters. We will meet you there.
Go ahead and wire the startup cost of 1.1 mill pxl to our accounting department. Thanks.

This sounds like a good break for our scientists to engage in. With the bankruptcy of GeneriCorp we have retained the E-GAC and a useless Avian chicken... and that department needs something to do now.

I predict a development time of 3 weeks to accomplish this... for we have been working on miniaturizing some of our building lines for use on ships, and I think we can adapt them to outer worlds very well.

Did you have a team of scientists to aid in the development? If so, they can land on docking bay C and proceed to the science wing of our station.
We look forward to working with you to complete this project and making available a whole new line of products.

The funds have been transferred. Unfortunately, we can't seem to get in contact with DesertStar, and they have yet to give us a pricing quote... You may have to hold back until we can ensure their forces will be there to protect you.

Alright, I'll send my best engineers and scientists then. Vessel TLT-51 with the team is on the way to you already.

We will hold in orbit for your security team to organize. I think we will bring a small security team of our own while we wait, just in case. Once we are set up, we will need to pull them back for other plans.
Let us know when you are ready to deploy, we are already on route.

Your vessel has arrived. We will house your scientists in our guest chambers on the station. They will have a secured line to contact you with, and we will report progress when it breaks. Thanks again.

DesertStar was apparently ready since around midnight yesterday. :)

We would like to enquire about buying 4 Ship Module, High-Tech Manufacturing Facilities. These would be attached to an orbital R&D facility orbiting Seria. The total cost should come to 4.2 million pxl, which we can wire you as soon as you're ready.

  17. SivCorp

    SivCorp Parsec Taste Tester

We can have those ready in a week or so. We are running at full building capacity right now, so we will get them done as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued business. Oh, and feel free to do your own excavations on any ruins we find on Seria... we are only interested in the crystals and ore right now.

Not to intrude, but may I enquire as to who exactly "The Triads" are? They seem to have been completely off our radar, until they showed up and put up an energy shield around the ancient subway station...

    CC: SivCorp, TlenoTech
Okay, whose bright idea was it to approve construction of a production facility in orbit around disputed territory?! *ahem* Sorry, just yelling because one of my employees made a mistake that will cost him his job. The facility was supposed to be in orbit around Ensilodon-8, but someone couldn't get his facts straight. To TlenoTech, we apologize, but this will be sufficiently bad a mistake as to delay our schedule further. To SivCorp, we hate to do this, but is there any chance of disassembling the constructed portions of the orbital facility and shipping them from Seria to Enmsilodon-8 to be reassembled so that construction may resume there? We are willing to pay an extra 2.5 million for transport costs and lost time.

In addition, we did the math and you should have approximately 4 to 5 cubic meters of platinum and 3040 cubic meters of titanium at the daily rate of tons of material you were pulling out. ((No really, 6 tons times 2.5 days equals 15 tons. 15 tons equals 480,000 ounces. And with a density of 158 ounces per cubic meter, you would have mined 3038 cubic meters of titanium. Platinum, on the other hand, has so much higher density [757.402 that 110 tons is only 4 and a half cubic meters.)) We'll purchase whatever platinum you have, regardless of price. As for the titanium, if you have no other buyers, name your price and we'll tell you what we can afford.

Sigh... it's alright, just make sure that sucker would not interfer with our businesses ever again...

Anyways, at the moment, unfortunately, I'll be able to supply you with only 60% of required materials, which may significantly slow down the progress, but recently I have invested some additional funds into the colonies, so resource output should increase eventually!
