Modding Help XNB files in SMAPI?

    I've been looking for a solid answer for this:

    Can I use standard XNB mods with SMAPI?

    I've been completely happy replacing files to mod, it makes me feel like I have more agency over my game. But I'm coming across mods that I want that require SMAPI, but I have found no solid answer on if they work together?

      As long as the .xnb has the same name as the original file I can't think of any reason why there would be a conflict. In my experience most conflicts come from SMAPI mods overlapping.

      EDIT: There also may be a case where SMAPI mods come with default xnb modded files. These mods should say if they contain xnb files. Some even have more advanced options so that you can still use your preferred .xnb (ex. RTGOAT's Longevity Mod).
